Using a double subject in a sentence. This is done all the time in broadcast media.

‘Each other’ and ‘one another’. I always get them mixed up. I think ‘each other’ is between two people, ‘one another’ is a lot -— like a crowd. ‘Hearing the announcement, they all looked at one another’. And ‘Tom and Susan were shouting at each other’.

Is that right?

I’ve always had a problem with #6. I understand the use of the apostrophe for the contraction of “it is” - but the non-use of it when dealing with possession has always puzzled me.

What annoys me is when people say "I could care less" when they actually probably mean "I couldn't care less."

So when they say the former, I usually say "So you care at least a little?"

Someone did a cartoon, I think it was in the New Yorker.
It had a guy hanging in a room, stool kicked out from beneath him.

A guy was reading the suicide note.
“I have nothing to loose, goodbye cruel world”

The guy reading the note says... “It’s lose you idiot, lose!”

Your point is well taken. As I age, it is harder for me to keep these straight. So pardon me. I will do the best I can.
