There was nothing wrong with “Whiskey” Bill...that guy had a ton of guts, and did well to overcome his shortcomings to be a winner.

This won’t end well. Of course, it isn’t well to begin with...

2 years 2 late.

Lotsa hype, not much hope.

I would take RG III and put him on my team for grooming

I like this guy and he seems like a decent, humble person. But he came out of one of those programs that's flashy at the college level but incompatible with the pro game.

what you have seen so far is what you will get. The window for his development has closed. He will be at best a carrier back up quarterback.

Anyone remember John Elway’s rookie year?

How about Troy Aikman’s rookie year? Cowboys were 1-11.

I remember that. But I think Elway played worse comparatively. His completion percentage was about 47%.

I miss 'The Riggo Drill'. Riggo left, Riggo right, Riggo up the middle........and that Super Bowl run, dragging a Dolphin behind him like a plow horse. Man, those were the days.

He can run the read option, but he’s lost some speed. Major bust.

Wilson is a lot smarter. RG 3 has lost a lot of speed.

The new GM set it up so they can dump him after this year.

The problem with Manziel was that he was a total screw-off.
Out partying most nights and didn’t know the playbook when he was tabbed to start late in the season.
Unforgiveable at the NFL level.

Supposedly he got sober in rehab over the winter and is making strides, but is now on the bench with a bad throwing arm. Technically he should be a Sr. in college this season, so maybe maturity will come with age.

True, and that doesn't help. But it's not exactly knew. I seem to remember some successful QBs having to get bailed out of jail for the game by their coaches.

I'm not willing to call Griffin a bust. Snyder and his coaches are more busts. Besides these injuries, he has had to battle against two coaches that may be smart, but were doing stupid things. Either Snyder should have let him be traded, or Gruden shouldn't have take the job. Griffin is not blameless, but he's young. The owner and coaches have more responsibility. The Redskins will have to get real lucky to ever win with Snyder as the owner.

RG3 would look good as an Eagle backup. I’d trade Sanchez for him. Food for thought.

I think the game has changed a lot (more sophistication) since those days. If you read Bill Polian’s new book on running a team he talks a lot about the Colts having to choose between Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf.

Manning came into the pre-draft interview with a thick notebook and started firing questions at management. Hours later he was still going strong. Leaf didn’t show up for the interview at all and when they finally caught up with him weeks later didn’t want to do a workout in pads.

There's an interesting thought. I'm not a huge Iggles fan but I think the trade with Foles was a mistake.

Only time will tell. Bradford is a much better QB than Foles. It remains to be seen whether he can stay healthy. If he does, we are in great shape to go far in playoffs. I'm a rare Philly fan, in that I believe the glass is half full. lol

He’s going to be a long term project though. Wouldn’t trade a lot for him, but he could be worth a 3rd rounder.

RG3 needs a coach who's willing to play to his strength, do play action passes and the like to open up the running game for the offense.

LOL, I am a reformed Redskins fan...I had to give up watching football for about ten years...:)

People are crazy there...

And yes...Riggo was a halfback in a fullback’s body!
