$2 a day not counting city, county, state, federal and charitable handouts. What BS!

$2 per day is less than $750 per year -- and wouldn't even cover the cost of commuting to work for most people. I think this is utter B.S.

I think they lost a couple of zeros in this article, or else they mistakenly printed "United States" instead of "Cambodia" when they ran the article.

There are currently 94 million Americans out of work.

Stop sending American jobs to China.

Even the lowest welfare payment in the state of MS is more than $60.00/month.

Back in 1968, I purchased a book HOW TO FEED FOUR FOR $1.00.

Wish I still had it.

That might work if food was priced like it was in 1968.
Today 4 people would each get a ramen soup for the day.

Most of us would say we would have trouble understanding how families in the county as rich as ours could live on so little,"

This is a true statement. Most of us would say we would have trouble understanding how families in the county as rich as ours could live on so little. Especially when it is so clearly false. BS.

That would be $6.75 a day now. Or $202 a month.

I’ve got a book around here somewhere called “How to Build Your Dream Home for $5,000”. I think it was published in the 30’s.

No way anyone could live on $2 a day. Not even pre-Obama.
