Windows 7 and 8.1 are getting the Windows 10 "user experience / telemetry" slurp ... PING!
You can find all the Windows Ping list threads with FR search: just search on keyword "windowspinglist".
The good news is, if you want to avoid this, you can. You just have to either remove the updates, or avoid them in the first place.

Oh. . . my! Microsoft has just . . . uh, stepped in it, big time. Adds the Windows 10, er, experience to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 in the latest updates, at least the Big Brother telemetry, snoopy nose, portion of the Windows 10 experience, that is. Microsoft adds intrusive telemetry to the older Windows OSes, retroactively. . . Well, Peeping Tom's always did know the value of Windows, I guess. . . This appears to be just a turn-around. . . the Windows are peeping on you! — PING!
