Do you recall the trial where the witness said that she could read but couldn’t read writing?

Yes, that was the Zimmerman trial. The witness, Rachel Somethingorother, was handed a note allegedly written by her and asked to read it out loud to the court, but she couldn't because she couldn't read cursive writing.

Sadly, she's the tip of the iceberg. The younger generations can hardly scribble their own names.

Yes, thank you, the Zimmerman trial and if I recall (correctly) she was a ‘star’ witness for the prosecution.

You add a valid point about the current/recent generation being barely able to scribble their own names...

We COULD go back a few decades where our SONGS were somewhat lyrical, factual and logical.

While I could be a generational throwback, ‘rap’ seems to describe just what you say writing?

(Appropriately and because I remember this: Homer Simpson; If something’s hard to do, then it’s not worth doing)
