Weird .. most of the time in San Diego, we get shallow quakes .. and they don’t give much action, and it’s over in a few seconds.
However, we did have a 7.1 a few years ago, and it was really rockin’ and rollin’ .. in fact it was to the point that I ran out of my apt .. because I wasn’t sure if my building was going to slide down the hill or not.
Naturally, I forgot to grab my wallet and keys to my car .. so running out of the house might not have been a good idea. LOL
Anyway, I wish I could remember how deep that one was .. it was centered about 100 miles east of me but I don’t know what the depth was.

We were in the Coquimbo area, north of the quake. Haven’t heard from fiends down there but will be checking on their status in La Serena.
