The headline is sensationalist nonsense.
It does have a December 31, 1999 feel to it.
But what made you click on it?
The one thing an EMP attack won’t take out is our retaliatory capacity.
This assumes that eventually we will once again have a president who isn’t in bed with the Muslim terrorist theocrats in Iran and elsewhere.
If they do it, they had better do it while Princess Obongo is still in office.
Supposedly our nuclear command structure is hardedned against EMP and our nuclear subs are safe. Back in the day the Russians knew if they attacked the U.S. there would be a massive nuclear retaliation. Perhaps the N. Koreans and the Iranians need to understand that an EMP attack against the U.S. would bring a massive nuclear strike on their countries that would leave them nothing but radioactive rubble. Unfortunately Obama has shown nothing but weakness and capitulation and this could be interpreted by these rogue states that they could get away with crippling the U.S. with an EMP bomb. I’m not so sure that Obama would do anything to retaliate to any country attacking the homeland. Perhaps our next president could make it clear that an EMP strike on the U.S. would bring nuclear retaliation on any nations involved

As long as we have ships and boats at sea, we can retaliate overwhelmingly.

It’s a novel, not a scientific paper. While EMP is a corollary effect of nudets, it won’t wipe out the entire country’s electricity.

Put a metal floor on the shed too- you can cover it with plywood but make sure the metal from the roof, sides, and floor all have direct contact with each other
and ground it with a nice metal stake
