Carly Fiorina’s Post-Debate Abortion Ad is Intense—and Effective

Posted by Amy Miller Wednesday, September 23, 2015 Considering she very nearly didn’t make the cut for CNN’s GOP throwdown, I think we can all afford to throw her props. Love her, hate her, or have questions about her, registered voters have spoken—they want to see more. It’s not surprising; many pundits predicted that all Carly needed to raise her profile within the crowded Republican field was a chance to steal the spotlight.

She did it. Her star is rising, and she’s using the opportunity not only to hit back at her most vocal opponents, but to bolster her conservative bona fides before a divided voter pool. It’s a continuation of the strategy she used earlier this summer—when her polling numbers sat below 5%—but it’s still effective. This time around, Fiorina is rebooting the conversation on abortion with a new Carly for America PAC ad that lashes out against Democrats who refused to acknowledge the existence of the Planned Parenthood sting videos after she referenced them in the CNN debate.

It’s an intense ad, and be warned—it contains graphic images from the now-infamous sting videos.

She isn’t going to do anything about abortion. All an act for votes.

We’ve been killing innocent children for our convenience since at least 1972. Why does Carly have to shed light on this *now.* Good grief.

Why does Carly have to shed light on this *now.*

Because she thinks it can get her elected.

She will go whatever way her big money donators suggest to go to. Just another politician. Not a very good one as well.

Better than if she wasn’t “acting”. At least she is sticking her neck out. Don’t remember some Republicans doing that. In fact, remember Bob Dole? When asked about abortion, he said, “oh, is that in the platform?”

People can bash her for other stuff, but she’s very good on this topic. And it’s genuine….I remember watching her debate some woman from planned parenthood before she declared and she was clearly angry at the lies and very, very passionate while pushing back. In fact, if she doesn’t get a cabinet position in a GOP administration, I think she should join a Pro-Life organization. She could do good work as an articulate spokesperson for the movement.

Repubes always play lipspeak to abortion at election time. They never do a thing about it.

It amazes me how so many Freepers can fail to give credit where it is due.

Carly, Good your about to get creamed by Plan Parenthood with Barbara Boxer's materials.

Today , I listen to your tape with Jesse Jackson , Seeing unpaid workers from your 2010 campaign

Plus I am sure they have tons more , the GOPe was going to hide this but not Plan Parenthood , They will do the job Fox should have done.

I’m not a Carly fan, but I do applaud her for that ad.

Whatever advances the pro-life agenda and saves one single child’s life, I’ll take it.
Whatever advances any part of the conservative agenda, and forces the enemy into retreat, even if only an inch, I’LL TAKE IT! I’ll encourage it and egg it on !

Jeez, y’all, can’t we at least manage a thumb’s up and a thanks, and stop slashing our own dang tires?

I certainly won’t trash her for sticking up for the unborn. In fact, no other candidate in the race can speak to this issue like a woman can. I think maybe she is passionate about abortion because she never had children of her own and it sickens her that so many women kill their unborn. This is my take on it anyway - there is much I don’t like about Carly, but, I’ll give her kudos on this issue.

I see she’s getting a lot of traction over a doctored video. She knew it was not one of the PP videos and could have cared less. She also cut in when someone else was talking, and not talking about abortion, and just started the rant over the video she claims was from PP. I despise abortion as much as the next person, but I don’t like a liar and Fiorina not only lied about the video she was also pro-abortion when she ran HP into the ground, a company by the way which is one the biggest sponsors of abortion in the world and has donated millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood. No telling how much money went went to the baby killers when Fiorina ran the company. HP also was one of the first big companies to offer health benefits to “partners” of homosexuals. HP was rated one of the best companies for the LBGT perverts to work.

I am happy for her putting a magnifying glass on this horror but I doubt her reasons are all that altruistic.

I won’t vote for someone who is pro-abortion but I sure don’t want to vote for her - I trust her about as much as I trust Mitch McConnell.

Totally agree. Every person has a three or four strengths and a hundred weaknesses. Carley failed at hundreds of things. Yet she is using her amazing strength by defending the unborn children. She should be recruited by every politician for advice on how to promote the Culture of Life. She is in my prayers.
