Lately, I’ve seen a new Facebook profile template supporting PP. It is an overlay, similar to the rainbow flag one that went viral a few months ago, that says “#StandwithPP”. I want to post a counter to this with a graphic and text. Here is what I’ve come up with:
As I see it, there are two issues driving the current Planned Parenthood debate: Abortion and government spending.
I don’t expect anything to change on the abortion front. The Supreme Court says that it’s legal. They’ve been wrong before, but more about that in a second.
The second issue is government funding. If we give money (a third of total funding, in excess of $500,000) to an organization, certainly taxpayers are due some level of oversight. Even if you support what PP does, you must understand how some people feel funding an organization that has been caught selling baby parts with their tax dollars is unacceptable.
If you don’t, please consider the period when the Supreme Court supported (through various decisions) slavery. Would you be opposed to government funding of a private organization (let’s call it Planned Slavery) that supported the slave trade?
Of course not, you’re against slavery.
OK, what if we gave PS money, but they ONLY used it to buy whips…and provide monograms and STDs prevention.
No? That’s what you are asking tax payers to stomach with the funding of PS…I mean, PP.

I like the graphic, but would move the text box to the top of the frame, thus making the entire shape of the baby visible and unobstructed.

Is this the focus of the campaign or is it funding of PP in general? If the latter they’ll run and hide behind the “right” to abortion. What exactly is the target? Butchering babies and selling their parts? The funding of that? The funding of PP generally?
No. Use “PP” to your advantage to replace what others typically think when they read it. I’m a bit warped. Thinking of the recent vids, it would be something such as “Parts and Pieces.” You could use it any way you like, and in a good and better way, such “Precious Progeny.” You’ll do far better than I could hope to do.
It’s a favored tactic of the left, so give them a dose of their own.
Hell, I’d throw in a rainbow.

Further, I wanted to disarm the “abortion faithful”. If it is about abortion, they put their fingers in their ears.
I want to put the funding in a context that they will understand.

The GOP should introduce legislation that will significantly increase federal funding to PP provided they stop performing abortions.
Let the dems vote that down and still claim they are for woman's health.
Let Obama to veto an increase in federal funding for woman's health.
Anything I come up with will be direct and indelicate.
You are welcome. I want you to know that I appreciate anyone who is willing to stand for the most innocent human beings who are being slaughtered daily. May God bless your efforts and equip you with His thoughts to open the hearts of so many calloused sons of butchers who can do such evil. I have more words for these people but my BP is rising.
