A man who was caught on video stealing an orange tabby cat named "Gogo" from a house in San Jose has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

After receiving many tips from community members, San Jose Police said they arrested Robert Farmer, 24, while he was sleeping in his car.

After conducting a search, police say they also found a deceased cat hidden in the vehicle.

Police have not yet confirmed that the deceased cat is the same one Farmer was seen taking in the video, and they say they are still investigating whether Farmer is connected with other cat-related crimes.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about this crime to call 408-277-4161.

If it was my little buddy he did that to, he would.

I’d be sitting in a cell for a long while if someone intentionally hurt my only pal who was given as a gift while i was still in the hospital and kept me company many years as I healed.

You bet he would suffer. More than he ever dreamed.

If I ever find out who abused my pups before the were given to the local shelter and I adopted them, well, they would never find the body...

Chain him naked and spread-eagled on the floor of a bare room. Smear him with Friskies Paté...and release a hundred cats in the room.

An extra treat for the cats would be to tie a little mouse to the guy’s ..uh...lower appendage.

I feel the same as you about pets. They’re one of God’s great gifts to human kind. Anyone I caught intentionally harming one would suffer my wrath and it would be horrific. Afterwards, no matter my fate I would sleep well at night knowing I did the right thing.

They are one of God’s great gifts and you’d be hard pressed to find a jury to convict you if you pummeled someone who tortured a defenseless animal.

With this arrest, I bet they caught a budding serial killer very early in the game before he actually became one. Now he’s got notoriety and a rap sheet. Can’t hide so easily now.

Anyway, remember this guy. Probably haven’t heard the last of him.

I volunteer for a local cat rescue/adoption organization. I’d have no problem using this scum for target practice next time I’m at the range.
