From all the threads and discussions of this TV show, it must really be something, but so help me, I just can’t get into it. It seems the same thing week after week; Zombies dragging around trying to kill the normal people who can easily outrun the. (sigh)
I wish we had another ‘Breaking Bad’ or ‘Mad Men’, but I doubt if we’ll see their like again.
Try binge watching Homeland. I was surprised how good it is. I am finishing season two. The new season is five I think. Rush mentioned it last week.
I wish we had another Breaking Bad or Mad Men, but I doubt if well see their like again.
Truth be told, I never watched Breaking Bad or Mad Men and thus never participated on any of their threads since I wouldn't have known what I was talking about.
Since you have admitted that you have no knowledge whatsoever of what TWD is all about, perhaps you should seek out the BB or MM threads where you might find some friends.........
Here are some alternate suggestions on Netflix:
Rectify
The Fall
Luther
The Killing
Halt and Catch Fire
also, season 2 of Manhattan starts on WGN this week.
Imo, Better Call Saul maintains the Breaking Bad quality. I have new appreciation for the guy who plays Saul.
Check out “TURN” (also on AMC).
Try Hell on Wheels on AMC now on Netflix.
Good stuff!
"Fargo" is pretty close.
I think maybe you have to start at the beginning and get to know the characters.
It’s like an extremely well done soap opera with zombies.
The first two seasons were kinda weak. The show didn't have a big budget. It wasn't yet the ratings juggernaut it became.
It really picked up in Season 3. At this point, the zombies become an annoyance and other groups of humans become their biggest threats. That's when the show really gets good.
