stopped and had Famous Dave’s I Bozeman Mt over the summer...first time to eat there and I thought it was pretty good...
We love Famous Dave’s and own a teeny piece of it. (I guess that makes us famous too.) Glad to see Dave is back. That will definitely help the company. It’s his vision.
My first experience was in Wichita Falls, TX., several years back, it was yummy and the atmosphere was great. Next one was in Kansas, yuk, that me turned me off Famous Daves. We were so hungry for BBQ, and where else better than Kansas? (except TX.)
FD is pretty good. We have a local restaurant that is consistently voted best ribs and best crabcakes in Baltimore (rib meat LITERALLY falls off the bone completely -must use fork because you cannot eat it off the bone). Another chain that we have around is famous for BBQ, Red Hot and Blue, but I don’t like it that much at all.
Before FD was here it was a Red River or something like that. I liked that a bit better. They built the place but it didn’t last long.
We’ve eaten at Famous Dave’s all over the country (My wife and I are full-time RV’ers) and consider it our favorite ‘national’ chain. Actually I can’t think of any other BBQ with 180 locations from California to Maine.
Yeah, we know better local mom and pop places around the country, but we’ve never had a bad meal at a Famous Dave’s.

Had Famous Dave’s in Sioux City and found their smoked meats to be rather delicious. The Spareribs in particular. Mmmmm!
About 4 years ago my wife and I went with a dear friend to the one in our town after church. The osteoarthritis in my knees was so painful that when we went to leave I could barely walk. Our friend went home to get a walker at her house so I could make it to the car. I since went gluten free and the pain is all but gone. We also have a Red Hot and Blue now in town that is better.
