The Bleeding Heart plant is nothing like a cacti nor related in any way shape or form. It is a spring and early summer-blooming herbaceous perennial.
A similar plant of the spring woodlands is Dutchman’s Breeches.
Well, you’ll have to argue with my mom .. she swore it was part of the cacti family.
