Donald Trump is the ONLY candidate who seems to be on the side of individual working Americans.

The only one. Anywhere.

Trump is completely right about this.

This is an example why he is winning many crossover voters.

That’s fine, but what ‘action’ could be take?

The last seven years aside, the president does not make law.

And if Trump is going to be another ‘I make the laws I want’ president, then I do not want him.

All I am saying is, Donald Trump seems to be THE ONLY CANDIDATE who is for working Americans.

All the rest of the Republican candidates are for offshoring or bringing in massive amounts of immigrants to America. Neither of which are good for our country.

All the Democrat candidates are for requiring a higher minimum wage, and ever more government involvement in American businesses.

Trump is THE ONLY CANDIDATE saying American companies need to hire American candidates.

The only one.

.

As President, Trump could issue an Executive Order banning all Federal Contract with Disney, including catering, services, visits, etc.

Moreover, he could ask the American people to effectively boycott Disney until the American workers were rehired.

That would get the job DONE !

Ted Cruz had DAMNED BETTER be taking notes on this issue.

Americans DESPISE AND HATE H1B Visas, Ted ...

He could ask for legislation to get rid of the H1B program. It will be an uphill fight as you can get H1B holders to work for a fraction of what Americans require. They’re just grateful to be here. Even living several to a rented room they are much better off than living where they came from. Their goal is to send money home to their families. While I feel for these people, they need to be home fomenting revolution against the elite of their country who are making it the cr*p hole that it is. America provides the safety valve for many cr*p hole countries. This is one reason Mexico is as bad as it is. The potential revolutionaries are all working here and sending money home. The problem is, they are making this country just like their country. Notice the Sharia no-go zones in Michigan.

If elected, Trump said he would take action against companies that replace American workers.

I'll have to see it to believe it. South Carolina passed a law many years ago aimed at punishing employers of illegals. I've only heard of it being used once and there ain't no shortage of illegals working here in SC.

Yes, but he is supposed to enforce the law.

And laws against using H-1B to replace American workers have NEVER been properly enforced. You should be applauding Trump being willing to do such, unlike Obama who created an entirely new program, OPT, that allows foreign students to stay on and work to where employers don't even have to pay Social Security and Medicare taxes. THAT is not just making law, it is making UP laws.

I have concerns with Trump. But until candidates such as Cruz, who supports increasing H-1B visas, come around on that issue, Trump is my front-runner. I would much rather support Cruz. But this is my job at stake here.

I would imagine for starters, whatever DHS appropriation contains H-1 visas for 2017, the Trump administration just doesnt ask for funding for it. And if Congress appropriates, i would imagine DHS has wide latitude in drafting the regulations and issuing the visas, so I’m sure they could effectively kill the program for however long they want. It’s going to be interesting watching the Republican Party fight President Trump every step of the way and President Trump kicking their butts all over the playing field.

What does the law say, and what parts of it are not being enforced?

“That’s fine, but what ‘action’ could be take?”

He can do the following:

1) Use the bully pulpit. Continue to communicate to the American public what Disney has done. It will result in Americans boycotting businesses owned by Disney (theme parks, entertainment, ABC and ESPN television networks). This will hit the top and bottom lines.

2) Cut off all government contracting with Disney and its subsidiaries.

3) Conduct SEC and IRS audits of Disney business.

4) Promote legislation reforming the visa process.

Ted Cruz wants 500% more employees replaced by H1-B visas.

Go Ted!

“1) Use the bully pulpit.”

To add additional commentary, the bully pulpit is one of the most powerful tools a POTUS has. Bill Clinton and Obama used it with great effectiveness as did Ronald Reagan. The two Bushes were unwilling or incapable of using it. Trump has the communication skills to use it very effectively. He has the ability to go around the press and directly to the people. Every Congresscritter, bureaucrat, political hack, and journalist should be fearing Trump for this reason.

Brilliant, I can hear Donald now--in a debate w/ Hitlery "Come on In" Clinton.

=============================================

Donald could ask Americans to boycott Disney until all the
American workers they replaced w/ foreign workers were rehired.

That should include not only park attendance, but a vast array of Disney
goods and services---movies, cable TV, toys, games, clothing, and so on.

“As President, Trump could issue an Executive Order banning all Federal Contract with Disney, including catering, services, visits, etc. “

Oh, there’s a lot he could do.

1. As you say, cut off any chance of government-related income for Disney.

2. Rigorous enforcement of presently-existing laws would make it very, very difficult for them or any company to continue these practices.

3. The bully pulpit works, publicly and privately. This was once called “jawboning”.

4. As President, he could make it clear to members of his party that they would be expected to do the same things on state and district levels, or national support might be difficult to come by.

You would be surprised at how much attention and traction he is getting on youth-oriented, usually flaming-liberal geek websites on this. Most geeks at least know people who have had these things happen to them.

I don’t think I even heard of that event. It must have been a long time back. Plenty of them here in the midlands.
