CNN: Trump: Ben Carson's "Pathological Disease" is Just Like a Child Molester's Condition (VIDEO)

Well it looks like Trump is making a bid to take a chokehold over the headlines again. In an interview to be released later tonight, Erin Burnett says that Trump will compare Ben Carson's 'pathological disease' to that of a child molester's.

WOW. I guarantee you everyone will be talking about this when it comes out. He says that they're alike in that both conditions are incurable.

This hits at the very cornerstone of Ben Carson's campaign because so many support him based on his Christian convictions, which sprout from his story of being a violent youth and finding Christ. Trump has doubted his conversation story before, but this is the most rancorous denouncement yet. Will America buy it?

I heard a snip, He didn’t call Carson a child molester. He said a pathological disease can’t be cured the same as a child molester can’t be cured.

He is right that a child molester can’t be cured. I would guess a pathological disease can’t be cured either.

Good. Carson shouldn’t be anywhere near the presidency.

Carson supporters aren’t going to go to Trump anyway. Carson supporters are 2016 version of the Paulbot.

Does not fit what I have seen. I have several neighbors that I have chatted with who support Carson. They are traditionally conservative Christian voters who will most likely vote GOP in the general. They would probably vote for Trump in the general unless he ticks them off.

My point stands - this is DUMB (to borrow Trumps phrase) politics. Completely unnecessary as others have said.

My college Psychology Professor worked with sex offenders, and she stated that they can’t be cured. They go through the court appointed treatment just to satisfy the judge’s requirement, but, their hearts aren’t in it. She said all of them she has worked with never recover.

Right and I personally don’t see a problem with Trump bringing something up that Carson wrote about himself.

What do you think would happen if Trump had said something like that about himself in one of his books?

Obama has a pathological disease. We know he is a narcissist and there is evidence he is a sociopath. Do we want to take a chance on someone who said he has a pathological disease?

I admire Carson, his bootstrap life, and his brilliance as a physician. But he is not presidential material.

Agreed. But how does this justify Trump going full retard on Carson?

Modern presidential candidate have at least served a term in state government or Congress.

Did I miss Trump's term in state or federal government?

Having worked at a state mental hospital, I would concur w/ your Prof.

My personal opinion is that a lot of programs that purport to make sex offenders "safe" for re-entry into society are just in it for the $$$ or are brainwashed libs.

Trump unhinged. Comparing the doctor to a child molester, shows a lack of character.

He did that with us quite some time ago...his being a totally egotistical prick didn't help him one iota.

Eventually, maybe even the disappointingly large Trumpanzee contingent here on FR might swallow and agree that this clown ain't our guy.

You’re exactly right. Pathological is a term Carson uses for his temper. All Trump said people with pathological diseases really can’t be cured...like child molesters. Trump is right on this one.

That’s right, Trump did not call him a child molester, but the media & Carson will flip what he said and use it against him. Trumps just being honest.

Trump has been an executive in the private sector. He has managed people and property. That’s far more qualifications for president than someone being a physician.

I understand. But you said: Modern presidential candidate [should] have at least served a term in state government or Congress.

If that applies to Carson, shouldn't it also apply to Trump? Trump shows good political instincts most of the time. Then there are times he goes full retard. He doesn't walk on water so it's ok to call him out when he says something he shouldn't have. And attacking Carson in this manner was just plain retarded.

Trump has never had any chance to win the nomination.

It would require a massive Democrat crossover.

Reminds me of the Olympics some years ago .. Michelle Kwan (sp?) was THE frontrunner, all but guaranteed the gold medal. So she played it safe. Little Tara Lipinski had absolutely nothing to lose, so she went in there and gave it all she had, boffo performance, and won the Gold. There are times, with big stakes involved (like a presidential election), that playing it safe just doesn’t work.

Trump’s just proving that he’s not going to be electable against Hillary. He lacks gravitas. He’s suffering from twitter Tourette’s.
