If we were at war with an unidentifiable segment of the German population, would we keep allowing people to migrate here from Germany? Would we continue to issue them student visas? Would we leave our borders wide open so they could simply walk across?
Of course not. And yet, in our war with radical Islam, that is exactly what we have been doing, from the time of George W. Bush to the present. You only need to look at the latest massacre in France to see the impact of such foolish policies.
It's great that we're bombing ISIS, and giving weapons to the Kurds, and whatever else. But these are really not the most important things to be doing. ISIS has no ICBM's or long range bombers to hit us with. The most important thing we need to be doing is securing our country.
1) We should deport all Muslim non citizens immediately. There is no "right" for non-citizens to be in the country. In a time of war, when we know we are at war with some Muslims but can't tell which ones, all should be deported. Many peaceful ones will be asked to leave, but if we deport even one violent one who would massacre a group of Americans, it will be well worth it.
2) We should not admit any people from Muslim nations into the US. Sure, ISIS can try to recruit blonde, blue eyed Europeans to do their work, but those are relatively few and far between, 99.99% of them are Middle Easterners, and most of their agents can be stopped before they enter the country.
3) Secure the border. Embark on a massive fence building program. Declare a national emergency, suspend the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits US soldiers from acting within our borders, and move our soldiers to the border with the Mexico to interdict illegals until the fence is built.
4) Place FBI observers in all Muslim mosques. Not all Muslims are terrorists (most aren't) but nearly all terrorists are Muslims, and they go to mosques. If you're dating, you go to bars, if you're robbing banks, you go to banks, and if you're looking for Muslim terrorists, you go to Mosques.
5) Place special emphasis on interviewing and searching Muslims at airports and other places where people congregate.
6) Repeal gun free zone laws. Can you imagine how many people would still be alive in France today if some of those victims had guns?
This is what needs to be done. While Obama is president, none of it will be done. If Donald Trump, Carson, or Ted Cruz is elected President, perhaps we will at least get #2,#3, and possibly #4. It's vitally important to elect a president who will protect our national security, not just over the skies in Syria, but here at home.
This begins by removing all Islamic rights worldwide. Deprive them of all property. Isolate them. Bomb their spaces. Demolish their mosques. Confiscate their property. Fire them from jobs. Prevent them from traveling. Seize their bank accounts. Expel them from every civilized state. Ban their burkas,veils, and turbans. Brand Islam as a vicious cult. Hunt jihadists and incarcerate them. Outlaw their writings.Restrict their travel. Remove their citizenship. Deny them private property. Revoke their visas and passports. Give no sanctuary. Allow no free speech. Take their money away. Allow them no weapons. Expel them from all colleges and universities. Do not allow them to teach. Burn all copies of the Koran. Deny all licenses.
I have heard this since 911. It’s no more true now than it was then. First, I have Muslim colleagues I study with. They are not a threat to us, the pay very high tuition, and will go back to Saudi, Iraq, Iran, etc. with a good impressions of Americans. Second, as for the Muslims who just work jobs or are on the dole, and have at any point voiced even the slightest sympathy for fundamentalists, since none of those 6 things will ever happen, what should we do?
IMO 1 and 2 are things we should demand from our presidential candidates
1) We should deport all Muslim non citizens immediately.
2) We should not admit any people from Muslim nations into the US.
And then Obama will use them to round up Tea Party Patriots, preppers and conservative political opponents, right? No thanks. Call out the militia for trash removal.
Unfortunately, some sort of "racial profiling" is in order. It's why blacks get pulled over more frequently and get searched more often. Many blacks are not criminals, but many criminals are black. The percentages favor scrutinizing them more closely. If the well-to-do Muslims you mention end up going back to their rich families in Saudi Arabia (a country filled with millionaires that finance terror) with a negative view of the USA, well maybe fewer of them will come here. Bummer.
Maybe if more innocent Muslims got this "unfair treatment", they would speak out more some against their violent co-religionists. It is unfortunate that innocent Muslims would be subjected to greater scrutiny in a world that took Islam seriously; but to simply let them all come and go as they please for fear of ruffling feathers simply will not work. IMO, a Muslim should dread flying because he should know he is going to be treated as a potential terrorist. Flying to and from the USA and Europe should be like flying to and from Israel.
