He did everything he could to get that yardage record. Once he got it, he couldn’t will himself anymore.

Looks like Eli wins the Super Bowl ring competition.

He continues to play so he can prove he is a better quarterback than Favre.

Nevermind Favre, his brother.

Made me think of Unitas with the Chargers.

Here in E. Tennessee Peyton Manning is more popular than Ronald Reagan. I’m not trashing him in any way. I just think he threw his life away going to Denver to work for Elway. If he had gone to the Titans he would have had another ring and been much happier and probably would not have got plantar fasciitis (or something like that)! I still stand by the curse of Tim Tebow. If Dallas or Cleveland would have got him they would be headed to the Superbowl, now!

A lot of people believed that the curse of the Babe doomed the Red Sox to never winning a World Series. Until, of course, they did. Never is a looong time.

When all is said and done, he couldn’t get the job done. A quarterback’s primary task is to throw complete passes, and he failed more than half of the time. How is that unfair?

That’s painful from what I understand. Not sure that explains the 5 for 20, 4 pick day. Manning’s arm and shoulder are shot. Time to hang up the Hall of fame career.

As a side note, I think the best all time SNL skit was Peyton Manning parodying a United Way commercial with the kids.......

That skit was freaking hilarious. And he played it perfectly.

In Peyton’s mind, he has already proved that.

He needs to prove he is better that Favre because that way, he surpasses his father.

It’s a Darth Vader = Archie Manning kinda thing.

He's pretty funny in commercials, too. He may have a new second career in acting. He could bring a little class to Hollywood.

His body is just beat up. Career winding down. Common injury in MLB though.

Never would have ever imagined that Manning_lite would have had a more successful career than Manny_heavy. Maybe Manning_lite was always really Manny_heavy and versa-visa.

You failed to tag that as satire

Gomer’s done. He’s been playing like s**t since the 2nd half of last season.

Lil Gomer will end up with more rings than Gomer, for sure.

Have y’all read the descriptions of how stiff and achy he has been the last couple of years? ...what he has to endure to get dressed?

He’s definitely coming apart. Sad to see and hear.
