ain’t going to be able to play with that...
At least the season is over for Manning.
I’ve been expecting his retirement announcement since 2011 when he had the neck surgeries. He has too many ailments and is almost 40. I think he only played so he could set the all-time passing yards record.
I wish him the best.
Maybe his season. At his age, perhaps his career.
A plantar tear usually does not need surgery to correct and will recover with rest. Having had the condition in both my feet in the past, I know how painful it is.
The Indianapolis Colts, already reeling with injury and performing below expectations, received even more terrible injury news on Tuesday: quarterback Andrew Luck suffered abdominal injury in the team's victory over Denver. Luck is expected to miss two to six weeks.
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano announced the injury on Tuesday afternoon, saying Luck suffered a lacerated kidney and a partially torn abdominal muscle on a fourth-quarter scramble. This is in addition to the report from earlier this season that Luck had been playing with multiple fractured ribs.
Just last week, I dropped his brother (who I called “Erratic Eli”) in my fantasy football league to acquire him. Smart move, eh?
The timing would seem to all fit together ....
That puppy can take a long time to heal. I just pulled mine and it took a year to heal. It’s just too easy to aggravate it over and over.
For some reason, I saw this headline as Chelea Manning, and thought this was a required procedure for “trans-ing.”
I wonder how they were treating that? I had it in both feet in the early 90's. What cured it was firm arch supports for my shoes (Dr. Scholl's won't cut it). Eventually, the pain went away, the heel spurs re-knitted, and I have no pain at all. I still have the two pairs of arch supports and will not buy shoes unless those arch supports fit.
I guess the Broncos should have sat Manning until he healed. I think Joe DiMaggio went through it at some point as well and took a lot of time off.
Where is Teabow these days?
Got that that few yards. Good for him.
Now, relax, and take the slow train to Canton.
I am a Chiefs fan but took no joy from that win. It was painful to watch.
Okay, Broncos. Bring back Tim Tebow!
Sorry to hear that. I thought there was some problem vs. the Chiefs.
Bring back Tebow.
He’ll play next week. Shoot it with deadening... he’ll play.
Torn to what degree? I had a small plantar fascia tear (actually it separated from the attachment to the heel bone) and it felt as though a knife was being inserted into the bottom of my foot just ahead of the heel. A couple of weeks rest, new custom orthotic supports and getting back to training slowly cured it. My best lifetime five mile, 10K, half-marathon and marathon times came after I had healed up.
Hopefully his is no worse; I like the guy, even when he beats up on my Giants.
I’ve had it. Takes a long time to heal.
I’ve always been a Peyton Manning fan through out his career. Wow I hate this for him. He will always be the best! I wish him well.
