My understanding is that Barbara Walters is personal friends with Melania Trump. I don’t think she was trying to be snarky. I think she was trying to get some of the modeling history asked and answered in a neutral setting.

In answer to your question, Trump was married to Ivana for 13 years, with whom he had his three older children who work in his company, Don Jr, 37, Ivanka, 34 and Eric, 31. Then he was married Marla Maples for 5 years; their daughter Tiffany is 22 and a senior in college. He has been married to Melania for 10 years and they have son Barron, age 8 or 9.
