Littering is a misdemeanor, which doesn’t preclude being drafted. People got drafted with a lot worse on their record, especially during Vietnam.
Unless Arlo Guthrie was convicted of leading a convoy of garbage trucks to dump toxic waste into Lake Tahoe, I ain’t buying his story.
