If I had a long commute I would consider something smaller. Since I average well under 10K miles a year I see no reason to drive around in a beer can.
My Suburban is very comfortable.

Agreed. Very comfortable.
It’ll take a bit of getting used to, especially on icy roads.
I’ve been driving a tiny Jeep Wrangler since 2002.
