A total of 56 patients with first-episode psychosis (FEP) were recruited from South East London (UK). Also, 43 individuals without psychosis were recruited from the same geographical area; they were administered the Psychosis Screening Questionnaire (Bebbington et al.1995), and excluded if they reported any psychotic symptom or a history of psychotic illnesses. Exclusion criteria for all subjects included: history of head trauma or injury with loss of consciousness longer than 1 h; current or past organic psychosis; learning disabilities or lack of English fluency (for details, see Di Forti et al.2009, 2014).

Actually, there are scores of different strains of pot. “Skunk” is merely one of them.
They smell like death.
Cannibis here in WA is available for recreational use. I am amazed at the marketing. Every product has analysis of cannibinoids to show whether more for healing or more for the head. They even identify the pesticide used, and generally use organic farming techniques.
There are 2 major strains of cannabis, sativa and indica. Sativa produces the time-altering and ‘focus’ effects of marijuana. The indica produces the ‘body buzz’ and generally more of the healing effects to deal with sleep and pain. This is generally the ‘skunk’ weed, and ‘diesel’ is a primary indica strain.
Hybrids are almost at a point of ‘trade mark’ status, e.g. google ‘platinum girl scout cookies cannabis’. Produced by several growers, the hybrid pedigree remains the same.
Additionally, under 50 people were studied and no controls set for what their brains were like before they smoked all this "skunk". [...]
All but three were taking antipsychotic medicine and it's marijuana that caused the results they garnered?!

I know it may seem odd, but I actually like the smell of a dead Skunk.
Especially at a distance while driving on country roads.

For what it's worth, I smoked a LOT of grass in my college years. It was a life of getting stoned pretty much every day for about three years.
And after that I qualified for membership in Mensa. I joined it and then after a couple of years decided not to renew my membership.
I had a successful career as an accountant/analyst for around 30 years until I retired at age 51.
I turn 60 next year and I've only had a need to get healthcare once in the past fifteen years... a herniated disc needed treatment a couple of years ago.
Smoking dope in my younger years didn't contribute to my intelligence or good health but I don't see where it hurt those either. And as for the future, I expect that I'm more likely to suffer hits to my health from a 35 year, 2 1/2 pack a day cigarette addiction than I am from smoking dope for a few years.
Another prohibitionist study. Yawn.
