My first hand gun.

Shopping for a weapon. A friend suggested a Sig 225. What do you think? I currently own two .22 cal rifles, a Winchester 25-35 and an M-1 carbine with three 10 round mags. I live in SoCal and want to buy before it is too late. Thank you all for your advice.

I’ve always been a fan of Drastic Plastic. The Glock fires every time you want it to.

Find a range/gun shop where you can rent/try various different cals/brands/configurations. Find what’s comfy and suits your needs.

Oh, yeah. I forgot. Getting a gun, per gov moonbeam, isn’t any issue anyway. According to him you just gotta drive over to AZ or NV and get whatever you want no quesitons asked. /s

I’d go for a 22LR handgun of some type to get started and be able to inexpensively spend time at the range...

Check out the Heckler and Koch P30 or P30L. Basically a very high quality Glock 19 and 17, resp. I have the P2000 with hammer fired, love it.

I just stopped by the Sig Pro Shop last Monday. What a place!

I bought my wife a Sig last year. A fine handgun! I am lobbying for one that fits my hand like it was made for it!

I don't have any problem finding it lying around the house ever since Bammy became POTUS.

My rule is to spend as much on ammo as you spend buying the gun. Having a few 22LR things results in plenty-o-ammo.

Plus 22LR is much like 12 ga in that there are many, many choices of ammo to try out.

Ruger Standard Auto pistol, 6” barrel. Would be nicer to feed it $1/box .22lr, but oh, well. Practice with it until you don’t miss. Then, move up to centerfire.

It would be helpful if you told us what you want the handgun for. What is the handguns main purpose?

I bought my first pistol after my idiot governor(wolf/Pennsylvania) told 0bola we’ll take some “refugees”. Got a Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield 9mm with crimson trace. Now I just have to get to the gun range to try it out.

Depends on what you intend to do with it. I just purchased a Glock 19 Gen3 for home defense and love it.

My EDC is a Glock 19 in an Alien Gear IWB. I like it a lot.
