He was not seemly to look upon. I expect he came without a handsome wrapper so that his words would stand, not his looks or charisma.
Even if he were as ugly as an old boot, he is my Savior and beautiful to me.

There is another skull/facial recreation that was done from the Shroud of Turin that I can accept, as it comes nearer what is on the Shroud. Very good documentary on this.

Jesus looked average? That is an absurd assumption. It’s like concluding that Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn looked like the average women from their time. Although it explains why people so often didn’t recognize Him after his return.
Can I publish thirty articles explaining why Jesus looked exactly like the one on the right?

The artist purposefully crossed his eyes a bit and that detracts from the picture.
Looks nothing like the image on the Shroud. I tend to go by that...if visualization of some sort is needed.
Jesus doesn’t look like that. I have seen two visions of Him. One remained on the wall for minutes. He had His arms spread out as to show that all should come unto Him. He had on a white gown with a gold belt. He looked like our Jesus to me. At the same time just before Jesus appeared on the wall Moses appeared portrayed with His arms up reaching for God. The other was a vision of Jesus face with the glory of God streaming from it. In neither vision did He look like a “Neanderthal”. I fully trust that both visions were from The Father.
