The actor who played master swordsman Inigo Montoya in "The Princess Bride" said Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz doesn't understand the point of the 1987 classic that he often quotes on the campaign trail.
Mandy Patinkin said he's received emails from friends alerting him to pictures on the Internet that show scenes taken from the movie with the Texas senator's face superimposed on top of his body, The New York Times reported.
"They Photoshopped his face right over my face!" Mr. Patinkin told the Times. "I said, 'How can I stop this?'"
Mr. Cruz has long listed "The Princess Bride" as his favorite movie and has started quoting the movie on the campaign trail.

Ha!
That’s funny, right there.
“Joo keeled my father. Prepare to die.”
Another Hollyweird jughead puts their idiocy on display for all to see.
Mandy...is his manager a boy named Sue?
LOL! That would be a rough bunch. Nice touch, btw.
The worst part is that Patinkin is a conservative Jew. He should be prostrating himself in front of Sen Cruz for what he has said and what he will do to protect Israel.
I know many, many Jews and I have never, ever met one that was not self loathing. Sometimes it takes a period of time but they always betray themseves
Which one?
"Transubstantiation"?
Homoousion?
Enosis?
"Reconciliation"?
"Affirmative Action"?
"Diversity"?
"Common sense"?
"Temperance"?
"Normalcy"?
"Progressivism"?
Spill, dude. We're all ears.
Why can’t performers just keep their mouths shut about politics? The list of performers I avoid watching/listening to keeps getting longer. Mandy Patinkin was one of my favorite singers. I’m tossing his CDs as now I won’t be able to listen to them without thinking what an idiot he is. I also don’t understand how so many people in NYC don’t seem to take the threat of terrorism seriously.
What a maroon!
Never knew Patankin was observant
Huh. I thought he was dead.....or at least mostly dead.
“Stop”
/not a dude
;)
;D
Do you think he has the depth to ask himself what really is the compassionate way to deal with a world where what poses as a religion wishes to kill or enslave anyone who doesn’t belong to that religion - and considers lying perfectly fine if it furthers that goal?
See, I think a lot of people have warm hearts but mushy brains, and the media feeds the mush.
For instance, is it compassionate to let Mexicans who want to escape the druglords come here illegally, when we also leave the door wide open for the druglords to come here right after them? And along with them they can bring whatever terrorists they want? Is that compassionate to the Mexicans in reality, and is it compassionate to the families here who now have druglords to deal with too?
Those are the hard questions that need to be asked, and the media just gets in the way.
You betcha! I LOVE that movie.
This is a lefty upset that conservatives are being heard. What is wrong with him? Does he ever consider someone in the nation does not agree with his world view? Is is innately evil to disagree with humpty dump hollywierd idiot? Screw ‘im.
I know, right? And this is from the guy playing the terrorist hunting, Muzzie-hating Jew CIA Honcho in Homeland
Oh well. I can clearly not drink the Kool-aid in front of me.
Tread lightly FRiend... the FR Jewish mafia lurks about these parts and are very quick to point and hiss the word "Anti-Semite!!!"
