The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Initially gaining recognition in Canada, the group also found international success from the late 1960s through the mid-1970s with numerous hit singles, including "No Time", "American Woman", "These Eyes" and "Share the Land". Several former members of The Guess Who, notably Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman (of BachmanâTurner Overdrive), have found considerable success outside the band. Formed as a garage rock/rhythm and blues group during the rise of British beat,[1] their musical style primarily consisted of pop rock,[2] blues rock,[3] psychedelic rock[4] and hard rock.[5]
The band was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1987.[6] In 2002, Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings, Garry Peterson, Donnie McDougall and Bill Wallace received the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, Canada's highest honour in the performing arts, for The Guess Who's contribution to popular music in Canada.[7]

A great group.
What?
Saw them in concert 1973 at Notre Dame. Third row right center, never did hear right again.
Stand-up concert on the hanger deck of the USS Enterprise in about ‘82. I was maybe 15 feet away from ‘em.
Never forget, the bassist with his dark shades on, head tilted back, grinnin’ the entire show. He was a happy guy.
LOL!
We were on our way to see them in the early ‘70s. My sister thought we were going to see the Who. I said it was Guess Who. She was kind of disappointed. The day after the concert my dad asked who we saw and I said “Guess Who”, and he said “who?”
