Trump goes incognito for Christmas: The Donald avoids waiting cameras as he attends midnight mass w

Donald Trump may be a fierce debater and a brash critic who is always happy to speak his mind and then some, but there seems to be one place the presidential hopeful is more than happy to lay low - church.

Trump and his family attended the 10:30pm midnight mass service at Bethesda-By-The-Sea in West Palm Beach, Florida on Christmas Eve, and the billionaire businessman somehow managed to avoid the massive number of photographers and members of the press waiting outside to document his arrival.

Instead he slipped inside unnoticed for the service, with the only photographs from the evening coming from some of his fellow churchgoers who uploaded them to social media.

*snip*

Trump's fellow midnight-mass attendees mostly just wrote on Twitter that they had spotted Trump at the service, with a few noting that they were checked by Secret Service members before entering the church.

His Secret Service detail may explain why he slipped in unnoticed as they likely coordinated his entrance to avoid any possible safety concerns for him and his family.

This is from British media. Is there ANY chance US media will say anything about Mr. Trump and his family attending mass as an event where he avoided publicity?

My friend told me Trump got married at Bethesda By The Sea. I think it was to Marla. It’s a pretty church on Palm Beach Island.

Doesn't prove anything

Give it up! It certainly does prove something that Mr. Trump and his family attended Church trying to avoid publicizing the event.

Thanks for that I was wondering too. (but as another posted, all are welcome to attend Mass at a Catholic Church, just as at a Presbyterian I imagine)

[Catholics welcome all at Mass.]

It’s Christ Mass, does it really matter what roof it is celebrated under?

`Obama has attended church services as well. Doesn’t “prove” anything.`

Obama is barring Christian refugees from coming to the US in deference to Islamic terrorist who he can’t import enough of.

While the Christian’s are being slaughtered by ISIS, the girls sold into slavery.

Obama is also deporting Christian refugees already here.

You equate that evidence of Obama’s hatred of Christians together with his stated allegence with Islam with Donald Trump.

That’s some bullsht Theo. I mean some real sick and perverted logic.

It was to the current Mrs. and Donald who got married there.

>>Maybe I`m different than most, but a Christian Church is a Christian church and I just don`t have denominational hang ups

I don’t have denominational hangups, but I do prefer to hear consistency in theology. I attend a Lutheran church with friends from time to time and I’ll worship at any Christian church.

As it should be. There’s a time for publicity and a time for privacy. Guess the press didn’t think so.

“The only place to be at midnight Christmas eve is an Episcopal church.”

Merry Christmas, Boojum! And with all respect, but you definitely have never been to full blown incense burning Roman Catholic midnight Christmas service...

My point is that going to church is not proof of one being a true Christian. That’s all. Clinton and Obama both have gone to church ...

Now we know he recognizes one Master . . .

That's quite the stretch....

I certainly hope so, but attending church by no way means anything...

Luk 18:18 to 27

A certain ruler asked him,
“Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
"Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.
You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’fn”
“All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.
When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy.
Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!
Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?”
Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

My point is that sitting in a room doesn’t prove that someone is a follower of Christ. That’s all. That Trump went to a church service is fine, but not proof that he is a follower of Christ. He’s never asked for forgiveness, after all, and doesn’t seem to consider himself a sinner in need of a Savior ...

It's a "high church" Episcopal parish.

They call their service "Mass" if they are really high.

Midnight Christmas Eve Mass is High Mass in most Epicopal churches. We call it Smells and Bells.
