Anesthesia not necessary for wisdom tooth pulling! A couple shots of Novocaine will do just fine. Sheesh!

They used anesthesia on me because some of mine were growing the wrong way like boar’s tushes... had to hack through bone. Everyone is different.

The youtube vid description was very inadequate. The tooth may have been impacted, or as it was in my case, fused to the bone. Not a happy time, even with anesthesia.

Now if it was a pre-emptive procedure, aimed at heading off trouble down the line, I completely agree with you.
