After being accidentally crowned Miss Universe by Steve Harvey earlier this month, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez discussed her reaction to Harvey's mishap with Colombia's W radio on Wednesday.

According to the Latin Times, Gutierrez said in the interview, "It was very humiliating for me, but also for the whole country and for all the people not only from Colombia but the other Latinos that were in the auditorium." Although the incident was embarrassing for Gutierrez, she sent well wishes to Miss Philippines in an Instagram post after the show.

Yeah, I can certainly see how it would be humiliating for someone from a country with Hispanic/indigenous heritage to lose to a Filipina....oh wait....

Moron.

So by Trump’s logic, should Al Gore have been installed as Co-President after the premature FL call and take back?

People make mistakes. She needs to get over it.

She says, “For the first time, I agree with Donald Trump.” Haha, for the first time in her life, for the first time in the age of a billion universes, she just so happens to agree with Trump on this one little itsy-bitsy teeny issue. Purely coincidently. Don’t get the idea that she would ever make it a habit.

Lol. who cares about these fake leftist bimbos?

At least she is handling it with grace and dignity. It is what we expect from a Miss Universe, to handle setbacks with aplomb and decorum.

A lessor person might be bitter and exaggerate the event as if it was humiliating to all females of all species on all planets for all time especially the Latinos from Alpha Centauri, and Latinos from the Inca dynasty. Glad she took the high road!

Had she really won, no one would be talking about here now. This is the best thing to ever to happen to her career. Whatever career she is in, that is.

If this was very humiliating to her and an entire country, she should be reinstated because she perfectly represents the current culture of not being able to handle adversity.

It's a flipping beauty contest. It's not like she moved the human condition forward more than 1 mm.

The Winner is Half Filipina-Half German (her father’s side).

Filipinas are not Latinas.

You are correct, however many do trace a Spanish heritage which would put them in the Hispanic category I believe. I had a very good friend who is Filipino and he was a devout Catholic with the surname Reyes.

The Philippines used to be a Spanish colony IIRC. The people there are generally considered to be “Malay” historically, but it’s arguably legit to add in the Spanish heritage and influence that ‘westernized’ them.

Quite the melting pot with a lot of Asian and Malay main ingredients.

>> Filipinas are not Latinas <<

Since when? A large percentage of people from the Philippines are mestizos — mixed Spanish and indigenous ancestry — just as are the majority of people in Latin American. So many Filipinos and Filipinas have just as much of a claim on Spanish/Latin heritage as do the Latin Americans.

In what way did she agree with Trump? Miss Puerto Rico was banned for agreeing with him.

Did she leave the address for her apartment or is she leasing a house in the suburbs?
