That's a shame. I kind of liked HEB stores but Winco and Aldis beats them on price.

Yep. If I was still living down there I’d find a new grocer.

did a little poking on him and turns up he was on a list of 20 most intensely religious businesses.
old FR thread.
I guess religious doesn’t always mean smart.
does he have a “sanctuary city” for the rape victims, DWI victim and murder victims of illegals?

I’ve lived in Texas my whole life, minus the time in college. I couldn’t tell you where the nearest HEB is. To me, HEB is an acronym for the cities of Hurst-Euless-Bedford. I did use to date a firey red head from Bedford years ago.

Have been told that 1/2 of their operation is in MX and 1/2 in TX. Part of their business model.
I was in the Abilene store tonight. They are good grocery merchants.
That was said knowing nothing about the owner.
There is no defending sanctuary cities.

Klein’s Shop Rite in Maryland is the same. One of the execs made some comments trashing gun owners. He also funds gun buy backs. Even though their store is walking distance, we drive a few miles to shop elsewhere.
