I think the current fights on FR are because we have lost sight of the big picture. This is my attempt to bring that back into focus from the point of view of a Trump supporter.
Great statement and I agree. Trump supporter here. :)
For instance Cruz would never have said that contributing $250,000 to the Clinton Pay for Play Foundation was worse than Hillary's e-mail scandal.
Trump is willing to go down into the lowest depths of the gutter to win at all costs!
That's just what we need!
GO TRUMP GO!
We are now stuffing T^%rump, by the MILLIONS, down your “one party” throats. WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE. And go to Hades.
I’m a Cruz supporter. While I agree with you (& Trump) on those three big issues, I can’t ignore that he’s mainly been a progressive democrat who has never been on the side of liberty-lovers & constitutionalists. I’m afraid he’s using the Republican Party the way Michael Bloomberg did in New York - a clear (or clearer) playing field to get the nomination, since it was pretty much locked up on the Dem side. I’m not sure we can trust him to bust up the federal gov’t which is what we desperately need to have happen. I’ll vote for him over Hillary, but I won’t support him in the primaries.
There's the heart of the matter. Trump hasn't transformed the press and establishment, just held them at bay. They would come back in full attack mode if Trump's not there to stop them.
Cruz is not an outsider. He is a sitting senator who has spent most of his working life in government.
Trump is very much a successful business mentality and he seems to demand that things make sense. I’m sure they fear him actually bringing this approach to the federal bureaucracy.
?
Thank You!
Yes and it can hardly be called the United States Senate anymore— more like the United Nations Senate.
Great post, I agree with everything you said. People are getting wrapped around the axle about issues that don’t matter. Those three you listed are it! We are basically done already as a country.
Cruz is not winning because he follows the standard politician process. He had no strong stance on most of these issues until Trump cleared the way. The only time Cruz broke out and made a splash was when he called out the media during one debate. Other than that, he hasn’t taken any chances and hasn’t forged his own path.
This indicates to me that while he’s a good guy, he doesn’t have the leadership and huge balls that Trump has. I don’t think Cruz would ever make it to the end, he would be easy to destroy if Trump was knocked out of the race.
To me, it comes down to Trump is a patriot. He loves America, and will support and defend it against its enemies foreign and domestic. Cruz is a Canadian.
Yes, to both statements.
??
I have no idea what you just said.
Sorry, I don’t understand your post. That was what I was trying to convey.

Imagine giving this advice to a Republican presidential candidate: What if you stopped calling yourself a conservative and instead just promised to make America great again?
What if you dropped all this leftover 19th-century piety about the free market and promised to fight the elites who were selling out American jobs?
What if you just stopped talking about reforming Medicare and Social Security and instead said that the elites were failing to deliver better healthcare at a reasonable price?
What if, instead of vainly talking about restoring the place of religion in society something that appeals only to a narrow slice of Middle America. You simply promised to restore the Middle American core, the economic and cultural losers of globalization to their rightful place in America?
What if you said you would re store them as the chief clients of the American state under your watch, being mindful of their interests when regulating the economy or negotiating trade deals?

Because of the republicrat capitulation to the communist left— We ( meaning the new Republican party ) and by the millions are cramming “The Donald” down the throat of the republicrat establishment. It is our party now. You hold your noses or stay home. We don’t give a flip. -— It that better for you?
I took me a long time and I bounced between Cruz and Trump but decided on Trump. Trump is ruthless. Cruz is too PC imho. Do you see Cruz defaulting on the debt? I don’t. Trump wouldn’t have any problem defaulting on debt with China/Japan and give them the middle finger
