Further, many of the Trump supporters were Cruz supporters at one time but were turned off. I left over TPA. Others have left since.

Same here. I donated to Ted's presidential campaign four times before he voted for TPA. When he did that, he shocked the breath right out of me. My support for him came to a full stop with that vote.

Following that, Ted chose to vote for the Corker bill, which was yet another knock-you-off-your-chair moment.

Since then, it's been one deal-breaking revelation after another. It really pains me, because I'd invested so much trust and hope in Ted. Now, I'm not even sure I can support him for re-election to the Senate. He's built a case against himself that I can't ignore.

Originally I was for Cruz also. What turned me off was the constant e-mail barrage asking for money. That stopped once I followed the advice here on Free Republic on how to stop the e-mail solicitations.

As for why I switched to Trump? Well there are a lot of reasons, some of which are emotional not cerebral. Mainly though it was the fear I could see in so many of his opponents and potential opponents campaigns.

Plus I thought it was interesting that as long as he was a ‘donor’ to political campaigns he was a fine upstanding citizen. As soon as he decided to run for the top spot, (Presidency), he became a incarnation of all that is wrong in America. Well at least according to the Politicians, Pundits, Media and especially the Political Consultants who he didn’t need to run a campaign.

So I am at peace with my choice for now. How it all turns out in the end... well we will all see that, won’t we.
