I believe in peace but I also have little or no confidence in the Uniparty political system.
If anyone out there feels they must do something let it be nonviolent with unarmed people confronting the FBI, blocking their path, whatever etc. etc.
Let the authorities fire some more shots at people if they must, but let them be the ones shooting.
Its easy to talk about such notions in my comfort, but I humbly suggest to those closer to the action.
I believe in peace also-
Peace requires all parties to agree- we have a problem that one side(citizens) wants a peaceful airing of differences- the other (govt entities) is not willing to listen and will use force to end the argument.
Pray for Peace- prepare for not Peace
I saw the video.
He got out of the truck and walked off the the side about 6 to 7 steps towards the woods, made some sort of motion with his arms then obviously tried to go for a gun he had in his jacket pocket.
A LEO was sneaking up on him from behind and when he went for his gun, the LEO downed him.
âWhen will the body be released, by the way?â
It will be released...uh, one moment,...I’ve just been handed a report that the body was mistakenly cremated by the County Morgue and that autopsy photos were mistakenly cremated with the body...
Put the crack pipe down.
Your bias is screaming loud, could you take it down a notch?
“I’m just not going to prison.” - Finicum
I don’t get why people want to make a liar out of him.
“in face of the modern tendencies toward a deification of government and state, it is good to remind ourselves that the old Romans were more realistic in symbolizing the state by a bundle of rods with an ax in the middle...” - Ludwig Von Mises
Finicum waxed poetic when asked earlier this month whether he was prepared to die rather than go to jail for occupying a federal wildlife refuge in rural Oregon.
âAbsolutely,â he told NBCâs Tony Dokoupil on Jan. 5. âI have been raised in the country all my life. I love dearly to feel the wind on my face, to see the sun rise, to see the moon in the night. I have no intention of spending any of my days in a concrete box.â
More details are needed, such as dashcams or police cams so we can get to the real answer here.
I'm not sure why they could not or did not arrest these guys prior to this point or when they got to their community meeting.
This man wanted to die. He chose this over being locked up for years in a 6x9 cell. I get that. It is intellectually dishonest to have watched that video and determine anything other than LaVoy attempted to reach his pistol....twice.
Doesn't make him a demon or bad guy, he chose not to be incarcerated.
I don’t know but when a man who was known to be armed and had just attempt drive around a police road block moves his hands towards where a gun could be the police are justified in shooting him.
The only way this is a bad shooting is if he was shot while his hands were raised and he brought them back to his body as a result of being shot.
Nobody is saying he didn’t say that, but many people talk tough in certain circumstances. When push comes to shove, many won’t back that up.
I do think the feds used his words to get away with what they did. That’s my take. As in many things, we’ll probably never know the truth, but I’m hesitant to side with people who are actively working with a behemoth of a government and trampling rights and freedoms while refusing to go after the actual criminals.
I’m a pro-freedom, pro individual rights guy. I’m also against the government owning vast tracts of land.
Really? Why would you get out of your car without FIRST HAVING DRAWN YOUR WEAPON? Makes no sense to me. Tell me.. WOULD YOU GET OUT OF YOUR CAR INTENDING TO FIGHT WITHOUT A WEAPON IN YOUR HAND?
Yet, here in the US FBI and DHS can apparently fire at will whether or not they have confirmed their lives are in danger.
I watched it to. Looks like he dropped his hand to around his waistband and they shot him. Police have shot people in this country for less and had it ruled justifiable.
Whether or not he was actually armed isn't relevant. He was known to carry a gun, and he made a move that might indicate he was going for one and they shot him. Police shootings under those circumstances have been ruled justified on any number of occasions.
This man wanted to die. He chose this over being locked up for years in a 6x9 cell.
...
Yes, and there are interviews published over the past couple of weeks that back that up.
Rubber bullets? Are you serious?
And, if that is the real case, then the officer could be brought up on charges.
I don’t disagree with the notion of making preparations for worse.
I’m trying to consider the effectiveness of nonviolent civil disobedience.
Reverend Everett Sileven Ramsey was successful in Nebraska in keeping the Christian school he operated open in the early 1980’s.
To a small extent, Operation Rescue led to some violent activities like bombings and killings of abortionists.
To a bigger extent, the Civil Rights Movement descended into violence in the 1960’s.
I would like to consider nonviolent acts and their effectiveness at this time.
>>WOULD YOU GET OUT OF YOUR CAR INTENDING TO FIGHT WITHOUT A WEAPON IN YOUR HAND?<<
It is my opinion, he did not intend to fight. He intended to die. Some folks would rather die than be confined. He was one of them.
