Leaked Transcript Reveals Ted Cruz People Are Nervous About Mailergate

This is not a good home stretch for Senator Ted Cruz. IOWA For Trump @LandmanMarius just released this "leaked transcript" of what appears to be a Cruz supporter demanding answer regarding the invasive mailer sent to Iowa voters on Friday. It's clear from the leaked messages that the voter is furious with Cruz. The messages also reveals the possible spin-control statement if the story stretches out any longer. The blame is pointing towards "a glitch in the system" and still needs to be "sorted" out:

If your man wins the nomination you will need all us cultists and frauds! Isn’t it about time to tone down a little.

Nope. I've said it before, a second time now yet again. I'll get off the gas when Ted bows out. Live with it. You either win or you lose. No participation trophies allowed.

The problem is, Trump didn't think of it. and now Cruz will reap the benefits

Dude, are you freaking retarded?

I guess we will see on Tuesday morning. So far all the projections of Ted being dead have been wrong.

I am expecting that since Donald is already downplaying the expectations it is all over but the voting and I say ted beats Donald by 15 point.

Tag this and I will bring it up to you and others on Tuesday. :) till then, have good dreams. It's all you have left

I completely agree with you.

No charisma. Not likable. That is exactly why I scratched Cruz off my list.

What Cruz did with this POS voter thing is ‘politician’ thinking and doing, that’s why we don’t want to elect a ‘governor’ or another ‘politician’ for more lies and underhanded deals...

But on to a greater story...

Watched the Trump rally last night with Jerry Falwell and it was great, as usual, and the group that trains the dogs for Vets with PTSD and other problems came on the stage and Trump gave the organization 100,000.00 to help them buy 5 new dogs to give to our Vets....this was some of the 6 million dollars that we raised with Trump and supporters instead of listening to a drummed up debate....

Just thought you guys would like to hear how thankful I am to be supporting a ‘doing’ candidate that will Make America Great Again...

The Cruz campaign didn’t create this mailer.

**************

Correct and it’s been used in a few other areas.

But that doesn’t take the responsiblility away from the Cruz campaign for the impact,
good or bad it has upon the voters where it was mailed to. If it is negative then it was a
bad decision. We’ll know about 9 pm cst on Feb. 1, 2016.

Although everything presented in the mailer is public records, I personally think if it
had used info other than naming individiuals other than the recipient it would have been
more effective.

First off, there is so little information on this it sound contrived and made up by Cruz opponents.

Besides that, please explain to me the problem.

Your comments, including those I did not copy, demonstrate the problem: a denial of obvious error and no apology. Such stubborn behavior is toxic for one claiming to be the genuine Christian in the room, or on the dais, or ...

So Mr. Handsome who misses votes himself dares to criticize the voting history of citizens who pay his damn salary?

I hope Trump gives him a beatdown like Jimmy Conway and Tommy gave Billy Batts.

I’ve been a Cruz fan for a long time, long before his run. Long before his most excellent fearless public truth telling in the Senate. Still am a big fan.

That said, I’ve come to realize that as President, Cruz would be kneecapped at every turn. Mitch (the potus bit*c), mcinsane, linda and others in the Senate would cut off their noses to spite Ted, and nothing revolutionary (what we truly need) would get done. Nickle and dime stuff, no more. Ted’s bully pulpit would get thwarted by the msm. I love Ted, but objectively that’s the lay of the land.

Since Don Trump crystalized as serious, I’ve jumped on board. I seriously hoped Don would take Ted under his wing and teach him to hold his most excellent firepower for the big battles. Carrot first, then stick if necessary—that’s the way of big bizness. And have a ginormous stick—no bluffing. Trump has billions at his disposal. If he decides, personally, to send mitch packing, he can dump half a billion into a primary and get rid of bit*h, mcinsane, linda, etc. Hit the little perfumed princes where it not just hurts, but end their little careers. Don can do that. Ted can’t.

But I was hoping Don would go 4 years of house burning, not just cleaning. Wall, no muslim feriners, nuke isis, bloody anyone and everyone who looks at the US funny. Kick the un in the nutz. etc. Tell the senate pansies gtf out now. Then let Ted do 8 years.

That said, Ted’s people keep messing up. This was a big one.

Are you even following the same election that everyone else is? Cruz is done. He needs to watch out for Rubio overtaking him for 2nd.

And you think Trump is not UGGEST liar of all time. Good God don’t you people know a snake oil salesman like Trump. Probably more corrupt and evil than anyone, especially Cruz. Cruz is an honest and trustworthy man. People like you disgust me.

"Cruz'z people are brilliant."

Uh...maybe. But they definitely make amateur mistakes.

Quick, what's Ted's slogan? Yeah, I don't know either. What's Trumps? Yeah, we all know it. Now look at my name here. That's the slogan he should have used--no brainer.

Also, what's Ted's symbol? Wtf is that silly flame thing? Anyone else happen to notice how it resembles a certain Islamic group's symbol? Am posting from a phone or would post them both side by side.

Amateurs. It will cost him the nomination.

It is a huge error for the campaign. That scheme, as unsavory as it is, works with easily fooled, low information voters. So if you are trying to do a GOTV operation where your targets are the kind of people who are fooled by that kind of mailing, then it works. So it was a good scheme for Barack Obama to use, and it helped him.

But Sen. Cruz doesn't appeal to that kind of voter, and the scheme is directly contradictory to his main message. So the people who get the mail piece don't respond like they are expected to. Instead of being afraid they are mad. And instead of going to the polls out of fear, they turn around and publicize the mailer they got.

That kind of mailing has been done before, as have just about every other kind of unsavory mailing you can imagine. But this one clashes with Sen. Cruz's image. After all, it is probably a violation of the Bar rules in just about any state to send a letter misleadingly stating someone is "in violation" when they aren't. So for a candidate that is a well known lawyer, its a remarkably stupid thing to do.

I doubt Sen. Cruz was paying enough attention, or managing his campaign closely enough to catch the blunder before it happened. And that reflects badly on him.

That is the problem.

Very true, those that know him best in the Senate ALL seem to despise him. He’s ultimately very unlikable and this crash is better sooner than later.

The beauty of our long, drawn out process for selecting candidates is that it’s grueling, tedious and very stressful for the candidates. Sooner or later the mask is going to slip and you’re going to see what the real candidate is like.

The process is working. We’re getting a really good look at what Cruz is all about.

Trump does not need Iowa. Cruz has spent 1 and some say 2 years campaigning there. If he does not win, it will be devastating for his campaign. He will not recover.
