Leaked Transcript Reveals Ted Cruz People Are Nervous About Mailergate

This is not a good home stretch for Senator Ted Cruz. IOWA For Trump @LandmanMarius just released this "leaked transcript" of what appears to be a Cruz supporter demanding answer regarding the invasive mailer sent to Iowa voters on Friday. It's clear from the leaked messages that the voter is furious with Cruz. The messages also reveals the possible spin-control statement if the story stretches out any longer. The blame is pointing towards "a glitch in the system" and still needs to be "sorted" out:

the Dems have been doing this for several elections now. Sorry to see Cruz jumping on the shame train, especially when he railed against Trump for name-calling.

I read the Wapo article about the mailer and the had the guy, Chris Latimer that was in on developing this type of mailers some years ago. If done right, it can improve turnout about 2.5 percent. Sounds good. Latimer says this mailer turned it around the bend by going negative. He is adamant that he had nothing to do with this and does not work for the Cruz campaign.

So the Cruz campaign took an idea that does seem to work and twisted it into a bad parody and it is back-firing badly. Cruz already commented on the mailer by not apologizing saying they would use every tool possible. They can not back track now saying it was a glitch. Cruz owns this lock stock and barrel. Unfortunately his loss of voters will go to Trump and Rubio. Bad move on his part. Maybe 2024 for Ted.

Ah yes. A glitch in the system. Cue Maxwell Smart. Glitch in the citizenship, glitch in the financial filings, glitch in the Senate votes, and now a glitch in the system. Next thing you know, there will be a glitch in the sermon.

Earlier today, the Iowa Secretary of State released a statement about letters Cruz sent to shame voters into voting for him by claiming that knowledge of voter history and comparing to their neighbors. The letter misrepresents Iowa election law. Cruz told Iowans he will “apologize to nobody”.

This is not a little thing...it is just the type of thing the media likes to latch onto to bring down a candidate. The Cruz Campaign took a decent idea and botched it...badly according to one of the originators of the concept.

This is not brilliant. This is not the thing that gives Cruz eight points to surpass Trump. You are living in a different reality. Why don’t you just take some time to feed the cats and leave the pontificating to professionals.

Yes when the Sec of State officially reprimands you forget blowing it off. The MSM are inquiring minds and they want to know.

You really can’t pin that on Cruz just because it’s been said so often about Trump....it might make people “feel” like the two are on a level playing field but Trumps got a show and Cruz has the goods. Night and day.

"a glitch in the system"

Good grief.

Ted has already publicly stated that he's not apologizing for the mailer, now someone in his campaign wants to backtrack lie and blame it on a system glitch??

Damn, his campaign is just imploding.

Twitter, like most major internet sites, is a cesspool of liberalism. Twitterites won’t be deciding the election.

Yea sure, what ever.

Come Tuesday morning this will just be a part of a discussion of how Cruz derailed Trump.

Now if you want to claim Trump is clean as the white snow falling on the land go ahead, but they both went dirty when trump started calling Cruz nasty.

Cruz could have taken the high road sure, but every time a candidate in a tight race takes the high road the lose.

Like it or not, but dirty tactics work every time they are tied.

Remember, Trump drew first blood, and he did so against a man who knows how to fight back. That is something Trump was not prepared for.

He thought Cruz would roll over and die like all the others he shamed into dropping away.

Got news for you, Cruz is in this to help the country, not to get brownie points with the establishment.

If a person does not want to get muddy, then don’t throw it at your opponent who is not afraid to throw it back.

Cruz does not have a cult following.........nobody’s gaping at the mouth when he walks out and begging to touch him or sign their chest with his autograph..... There’s no 9 yr. old little girls in tears crying “I love you” because she’s going to one of his rallys......and there’s no supporters waiting breathlessly on the sidelines for the next thing that comes out of his mouth as they drool feeling awed that their eyes et with his.

There’s a difference between ‘Supporting’ a candidate and ‘following’ one. Cultists follow....Voters support.

The Cruz campaign didn't create this mailer. It's the exact format used in Missouri in 2014 by a PAC.

...there is so little information on this it sound contrived and made up by Cruz opponents.

Au contraire, mon freep.

There are a ton of reports out about this incident. It's all over social media and the big newsies. Check Drudge or Free Republic for links.

It's not made up, nor is it a hit job by Cruz opponents. It's a self-inflicted gut shot by the Cruz campaign itself.

When asked about it, Ted refused to apologize. It's frikken mind blowing, coming just two days away from the first vote.

I would be very happy if the citizens of our country had even half of Cruz's thinking and values.

Caww, are you fully apprised of the whole story here? Are you aware that Ted was asked about this incident, and refused to apologize for it?

I'm not sure what sort of "thinking and values" he was employing when he approved this stunt, then doubled down on it after it blew up.

Loving every minute of it. Yea baby.

Finally a man who knows how to fight.

Good to know because the man who wins this nomination better be prepared to throw the kitchen sink and everything else back at them in the general election.

Now it is getting fun, because Cruz has come to fight for this hill, not dodge it like Trump dodged the draft and Vietnam.

Yea baby!

Bring it ON!
