Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State. Separation of Church and State.
I know, I know there’s no such phrase in the Constitution. If it is going to be used against Christians, then it must be used against Mohammedans. Unless, of course, if Mohammedans are willing to acknowledge that theirs is NOT a religion (which it isn’t),
Al they have to do is admit that Mohammedism is a cult of hate started by a camel humping pedophile who wanted to steal, rape and murder. That’s all.
All of my kids covered Islam in their World History class. All of them visited a Mosque as part of that coverage. I also covered Islam with them as they grew up, including reading to them from the Koran and giving them an opportunity to read the whole thing in context if they wished. I was as negative as I could be without being obviously biased, but I was also careful to be truthful.
During the tour of a Mosque, several boys asked questions and got answers. My oldest daughter asked a question, and the Imam told the teacher who was chaperon that he should make sure the girls do not speak in the men’s section. I strongly approve of direct exposure to evil as a way of understanding evil. After the Mosque visit with their class, my daughters each said that Islam was far worse than I had described.
What matters is not that kids are taught about Islam but what they are taught. My sons were disgusted with Islam. My daughters were disgusted and angry. My kids will never be tempted to follow that path to Satan.

I agree. Leaning about it isn’t an issue, promoting it is another thing.
If they teach it truthfully and completely, they are doing a needed service. If you know it, it is less likely to fool you.
First of all...I ask the good people on this forum because I trust their answers and knowledge. This is new for me...nowadays you have to watch out for everything when it comes to your children...social media, school curriculum, and indoctrination. It appears the class is studying about Islam and that includes an Islam Map, history, and the five pillars of Islam. Not sure if it will go further than that....but the teacher did say that there is only a small fraction that are extreme. And though I disagree...so far, no burkas or trips to mosques have been reported. So, thank you everyone for your feedback, I appreciate it very much.
Make sure it is a balanced history talking about the violent verses, his war conquests - and compare this to Jesus’ non-violence.
And ensure that they aren’t proselytizing Islam, like Common Core’s test that says the average Muslim has stronger faith than the average Christian, but ignores the “we have the right to kill those who leave the faith” aspect.
Not enough information; we need context.
Thank you for replying, Blue Turtle!
I guess that you just "pushed my buttons" by posing such a provocative question, with such an obvious answer (namely: "It depends...") - and then disappearing for a while.
Sort of like a battered wife logging on to a feminist forum and asking "My unemployed, alcoholic, physically violent husband is terrorizing our family and sexually abusing our 12-y-o daughter... What do you folks, think? Should I do anything about it?"
Regards,
