I attended my first Nascar race 60 years ago this year.I was working in the parts department of the Chevrolet garage and this privateer out of Oregon stopped by for sponsorship money and a pit crew. Two of us signed on as tire changers and he finished 6th or 7th in spite of us. This was Redwood Acres in Eureka ca
