I’m still looking for a 1950s movie in which explorers crossing a river are attacked by natives with blow guns.
One explorer gets a dart in the forearm, the arm turns black and they have to whack it off right there.
They fight off the attack with cannon they are pulling across the river.
Our targets were car grilles (from our hidey-blowhole), because they all had nifty front ends back there.
Great fun.....
There’s some sort of poison from a frog that they used, if I recall correctly.
If it went in two inches there was a fair amount of force behind it. Are they sure it was a blow dart and not a dart gun?
A local archery shop owner got into blow guns for awhile. I was amazed at the power and accuracy he developed. Had to use plyers to pull them out of a wood backstop.
So it’s someone very skilled in their use, if blow darts were actually what was used?
They can just come my day job and dip their darts in the coffee.
Be on the look-out for people wearing feathered hats.
Not much skill needed. Most people catch on after a few practice shots.
