Is Donald Trump Simply Jesse Ventura with a Rolex? (Vanity)
His Master's Voice | 2/18/16 | Hillary's Moral Void

They seem very much alike in behavior and style. Did Minnesotans get what they thought they elected?

“Boycott, Fox, Levin, Rush ...”

Beware of anyone who tells you to boycott Levin and Rush. You know you are dealing with an unprincipled idiot when they say such a thing.

“I always thought conservatives were at least capable of rational, objective and thoughtful commentary...but there is a handful here who have caused me to reconsider.”

Anyone who champions Trump is not a principled conservative. Yeah, Free Republic sure has changed. It used to be the home of principled Constitutional conservatism. Not any more.

You obviously don't understand why Trump is making the waves he is.

Unprincipled conservative, WTF do you think you are?

Why don't you write a little note to Jim and tell him he's not an unprincipled conservative?

“He was asked specifically how he presents himself and would he present himself differently when he became president. He was not talking in philosophical or self-identity terms. But I think you probably are aware of that.”

Of course, that’s why he has “morphed” into a conservative all of a sudden. And a bunch of morons are falling for it.

I understand why Trump is making waves. It is NOT because he is a principled conservative, or else he wouldn’t be for universal healthcare or Common Core (”We’re gonna keep that”).

Anyone who says they are voting for Donald Trump because he is a “conservative” has a screw loose. He is not.

Exactly what was the business operation that Jesse Ventura built that compares with the one built by Donald Trump? I guess I never heard about the buildings built by Jesse Ventura and the large organization and numerous companies that he put together and operating, closing down those start-ups that did not succeed and taking those that did through to additional successes. Yes, so much alike, the two, and the amazing thing is that even now we can’t find any trace of comparable business efforts and successes by Jesse Ventura.

Did you notice that I mentioned he was not talking about himself philosophically.

Can I ask you to get off your lazy ass and google the You Tube interview that Oprah Winfrey did with Trump in 1988? And then get back to me how he has “morphed”.

I don’t have to go back to the Oprah days.

Google this:

Trump, Common Core “We’re gonna keep that,”

Trump, for universal healthcare

Trump said his radical sister would make great Supreme Court justice

But please, continue to live in your self-deluded fantasyland that Trump is a conservative.

Anyone who says they are voting for Donald Trump because he is a “conservative” has a screw loose. He is not.

I don't claim he is, I support he and Cruz albeit for completely different reasons. I also recognize that I have ZERO control over who ultimately gets the nod.

The simple fact is this, this country has at least three generations of people who have been indoctrinated to hate what this countries founding is, what the constitution is not (a living document) and what self reliance and responsibility is.

How do you elect a "principled conservative" in that environment?

You never will.

Let me add this, a "principled conservative" would be running on a platform of cutting 80% of the government, abolishing just about every alphabet agency, building a freakin wall on the border, abolishing welfare, sending invaders home and I could go on but I think I've mad my point.

Guess what, we don't have anyone like that in this race, not even Cruz will come out like a "principled conservative" because he knows he could never win.

This country and its constitution has been under relentless attack and is not going to revert on a dime.

The major obstacle is DC and its corrupt politicians, some on e deeds to destroy that firs if there is to be any hope at all.

IMO, either Cruz or Trump fits the bill, but I think more so Trump.

Trump and Ventura didn’t just pose for a photo together, Trump represented Ventura’s faction of the Reform party in the 2000 presidential primaries.

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: Jesse was elected because both parties ran centrist hacks. Skippy Humphrey was trading on the family name and was a useless RAT appendage without much future. He proved this when he lost. Norm Coleman was a former RAT turned pubbie star. He was, of course, hot air and little substance (with the exception of pro-life record). We were sick of both parties and little change.

The idiot Jesse entered the race thinking he could parley his suburban mayoral win (another story) and his radio audience into a political bloc that would garner more profit centers for his pockets. Nobody was more surprised than the idiot Jesse when he won - you should’ve seen his face. So, being a self-centered twit, he turned the governorship into an endless profit parade with contracts for books, dolls, TV shows, cameos in movies and scads of other activities aimed at netting him money and fame.

As to the dolts than voted for him, they were protesters, college libertarians, pranksters and others that were sick of the Punch and Judy show. His fame, while it lasted was as illusory as his substance.

Trump is Jesse and I've said it here on FR many times. For most the same reasons, too.

I will definitely vote for Trump over any commie, that’s for sure. But NOT because he’s a conservative, because he is not. That’s all I’m saying.

What bugs me lately is the Trumpsters who are actually mocking conservatives for being principled. Inthat way this forum has changed radically, since it is a self-described conservative site.
