Apologies for the delay. Someone else was going to run the threads this year but bad luck has befallen them. Try to at least get a few months going here with this segment thread.
On to a bit of business. Review your ping list membership. Let me know if you need off/on. Racing might be a nice change of pace from the political wrestling matches every day this year. Just sayin’.
Did anyone set up a FReeper Fantasy League?
Try to be back this evening to post a few news articles. (See that the #24 is leading the pack under new drivership).

Greetings, all, from Daytona Beach, Florida!
Last year was the first year I missed the 500 either there, radio, TV or AFRTS. It has lost its allure from the days of what worked best to totally managed crash-fests and personality conflicts. With that said, I still love the new technology coming in.
I remember the good old days when one used to go to a fight and a race broke out.
Thanks for the ping! Going to try to watch but as usual the race coincides with the danged PA state inspection. I’m putting slip on rockers on annd hope to have it finished by race time.
Don’t they usually run two shotgun races on the Thursday before Daytona to determine how the starting grid lines up? I’ve not heard anything about it.
How am I doing?
Yes, the results were Dale Jr and Kyle Busch winning.
I didn’t/don’t plan on running the threads this year; I have been swamped at work. Too many 12-14 hour days in a row. But, I was asked to help out to get us going this year.
Hence why you probably didn’t see anything about it.

Enjoy man!
Thanks for your efforts!
Thanks. Not a biggie. Jeff Gordon WAS my man. I’m in limbo right now.
Nascar has been ruined beyond my ability to watch and enjoy. PC garbage.
Will view the 500, The Bristols, the 600 and TallyDegas...that’s pretty much it.
So sad how GREED and PC ruined a fine American Pastime.
I’m hoping for another wild finish.
Me too! And though Tony wasn’t always a favorite, with him out/leaving this year...
We’re over here on this channel now. Did I tell you my drivers are starting 1 - 3 - 6 - 13... unless I change my mind
The Missus and I were casting about for a new driver when Jeff hung it up. We latched onto Jeff the night he won his very first race. We saw his troubles with Brooke. Were happy when he married Ingrid, watched the children arrive and sprout up before our eyes; especially my wife.
Now the Elliott kid takes over. He must be related to “Awesome Bill from Dawsonville”. He has the pole for Sunday. Maybe we’ll just stand pat with Number 24 and see how we like young Elliott.
Happy trails.
