The Coke 600 has to be my favorite race of the year. Fun track, 600 miles, fireworks galore at the end, Sunday night race and Memorial Day weekend to boot. Found some red/white/blue pasta at World Market. The decorative bunting will go up Thursday evening. Thoughts of those gone ahead have already started. Bittersweet.
Old age and wild wild women have taken a toll on me at least mentally and it’s tough to keep interested. Good friend of mine is spending a week in Indy by himself although his wife will join him Friday. Just found out today our neighbor served in Vietnam. He just lost his wife to cancer about 3 months ago.
Appears that tropical storm Bonnie might bring rain disrupting Sunday’s race. Could be a long night.
Good thing I canceled that trip!

Hey. The Indy 500 is tomorrow at 9:00am PST. Didjaknow that only Honda’s and Chevy’s are running? I didn’t. I haven’t watched the Indy 500 for 20 years or so.

Forgot all about (watching) the Indy 500 yesterday morning but am glad we got in a full race last night. Regardless of how hard the lads tried to pump the race last night it was quite tame. Kudos to Truax for finally closing the deal.

I heard you the first time. I put some thought and read a few “tip” articles and selected drivers accordingly...and a lot of good it did me ‘cause I got zero Q points. Mojos now working yet this year. Or maybe it is and I should count my blessings.
Weather is dyslesic here. Had frost every day for 5 days earlier this week but now wee in the midst of a high 90’s spell. Warnings out about getting hypothermia if you swim in rivers or lakes....I guess folks forget it IS fresh snow-melted water. If you get bored you can come on over and watch my goldfish mate in my pond out back. It’s loads of fun.
