Donald Trump simply has more mastery of branding and messaging than any other candidate. And he has experience managing a large organization of executives that adhere to his way of communicating and executing.

BUMP

Ted Cruz hired those “sleaze ball” tactics. Jeff Row was not hired for his organizational powers alone. He ran the governor campaign, where the dirty tricks triggered the opponent’s suicide.

Even after IOWA, Cruz unapologetically issued the creepy sounding robo calls against TRUMP, still skirting the edges of propriety by his “joy” filled campaign.

He does lie. By omission. Staging 20 year old comments in ads against another candidate, as if they were still held today is a Cruz signature tactic.

You are right. His campaign handlers killed the dog and spoiled the Cruz brand of righteousness. But, he hired them to do it.

Again, it isn’t over yet.

Yep. And it won’t be “over” when Cruz loses 9 or 10 of 11 states next week.

Is there any proof that it was the Cruz campaign behind the SC Trump robocalls? Other than what Trump said at the last debate, that is.

It works better if you only search on one word (of more than three letters) in the title.

I remember Mississippi every day I read a political headline.

Time doesn't stop after an election, and citizens are proving to have longer memories than the establishment. When Lois Lerner criminally interfered with tea party organization's ability to function, she was let off the hook by a republican controlled congress. When McDaniels was campained against by his own party to keep a feeble but controllable senator in place, voters remembered how they and their candidate were treated.

Time marches on and now we have 60% of republicans voting against their party's favorites. It was Mississippi that caused Trump.

For some of us, cold anger has been here for years.

"It is no lock that Cruz can win TEXAS"

You heard it here first.

Cruz will NOT win Texas.

There enough, if not a lot, of Texas Republican primary voters who are angry at Ted Cruz for not revealing his Canadian citizenship in 2012. Yeah, everyone knew he was born in Canada, but nobody knew he was STILL Canadian.

And he will then lose the Texas Senate GOP primary for the same reason.

Some folks are downright mad about it.

So true. He's good at leading a very large team.

Well I must say that this is a sad but true analysis of the Cruz voters. Basically if they can't win why then let Hillary win:

If many Cruz supporters are to be believed this may be accurate. I do not actually believe this is true. In the last presidential election most of the conservatives now supporting Cruz, who were very upset about Romney being the nominee eventually fessed up... that actually held their noses and voted for him.

It was the evangelical voters who sat out that election. Many couldn't stand the thought of voting for a Mormon. This has been confirmed by numerous studies of why George in 2004 received over 4,000,000 more than Mitt Romney did in 2012.

This does not appear to be a factor with Trump. He actually received more evangelical votes than Cruz did in South Carolina. This is despite Cruz getting the support of more evangelical leaders and working very hard for their votes.

Most, but not all of the people here who prefer Cruz will still support Trump in the general. Cruz supporters know that if the Democrats win... the repercussions this time will be so incredibly awful that Cruz supporters will not sit out the election even if he is not the nominee.

It’s 2008 all over again, except this time, instead of the mob ascribing all their hopes for change on a man running with a ‘D’ after his name, they do so with a Trump running with an ‘R’ after his.

I guess the Executive will forever now be seen as either a Monarchy or a Dictatorship in the minds of those seig-heiling whatever vaunted political candidate is their messiah.

Such people are not capable of freedom or liberty. This people do not want a Republic or the foundational principles that founded it. They want a king.

And they shall have it.

And all the consequences that come with it.

1. We are not hiring a pastor.

A people who will not be governed by God and in whose governance is reflected in their choices in this life, will be ruled by the tyranny of men.

Welcome to the tyranny of men that you and those like you wholeheartedly embrace.

I posted the following excerpt before from George Washington’s farewell speech. I’ll try to make this one even more brief.

***********
Excerpt:

...Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally...

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism.

The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty....

Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens....

I agree with the platitude however I repeat: We are not hiring a pastor.

And quit with the 'those like you' speech. Every Trump supporter has his own reasons.

As for me, when the country is no longer America after 8 years of Cruz being right about everything but that not mattering, then you will see that it's not about the positions a person talks about, it's what they can accomplish.

This country will not follow Cruz. How many more primaries do you need to see? It KILLS me that the country is so stupid as to not want a man like Cruz - but they don't. So swallow that. Then decide whether you want to ruin America but be 'righteous', or save her and be wrong, like me.

You are blind to your own pride. That is usually the sin before doom. Inspect that. You want to be right rather than do what will work.

First we had 'Establishment Republican' ... then this election we began to see another bad thing - 'Establishment Conservative" ... no you're going 'Establishment Church Doctrine".

I urge you to wake up and save the country, so that a man like Cruz can take the helm. But he can't save this ship. That's been demonstrated.

Thanks for posting that - AMEN. However, among most these days, quoting the Founders is being met with as much disdain as quoting Reagan.

This people do not want to hear it. They want their king from their faction and they do not care if it leads to a more formal and permanent despotism.

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. Name any state you think Rubio is guaranteed to win.

Name any state you think Ted will win.

Then Mae the number two and three states they will win.

Convince me it isn’t over.
