“Because [Trump] has no history of gun grabbing.”

He has not history of anything, except being mediocre-to-bad in business and well over 1,000 lawsuits against him, many for fraud.

Romney of all people should no better than to spread rumors about what people pay in taxes. He came at Trump harder than he came at Harry Reid, who made vague claims like Romney’s making now.

>>>It is ONLY relevant because Trump claims to be the best businessman in the world, best negotiator, etc.<<<

Where did he say he was “the best business man in the world”?

He always says he will GET the best to do what is needed to get things done.

BTW - you are the best FR Poster in the world. Don’t remember where I heard it though.

I’m a Cruz guy first, Trump second and you are embarrassing yourself with this nonsense. Get back to us when you earn Ten Billion, Ten Million or even Ten Thousand. Then we will tell you to up your Monthly Contribution to Free Republic.

How do you know Trump doesn’t read the Bible? Do you sit in his bedroom every night and do you have a special perch in his office from which you can observe him every moment and make such statements?
Remember that little bit about “bearing false witness against thy neighbor?” It seems you do not.

“I have started thinking that Romney, in his buying and selling of companies, as a corporate raider, is dealing with or is himself a party that wants inside information on some company or investment of Trump’s so that a deal can get leveraged.”

I wouldn’t be surprised. I couldn’t stand flip-flopping Romney one bit.

But I still would like full disclosure of Trump’s finances (included taxes, and, most importantly the schedules and working papers) because he claims he is a great businessman as his chief qualification to be president. By all accounts, he is not very good at it.

He had no $400 Million Dollar inheritance. You do know he has sister’s and a brother.

Look if want a look at his net worth and such just to Forbes’ site and look it up. By their reckoning his net worth at least $4.5 Billion or more.

He filed all his financials with the FEC and all outstanding loans that the Trump Organization has.

Do a little research and do not depend on what you read on the Internet.

Yeah, next time I’m in Trump Tower or visit my brother at the Trump Hotel on Columbus Circle, I’ll remember what a lousy businessman he is.

I agree...the old fashioned way! It isn’t relevant one way or the other to me, but Mr. Trump has put his finger on all the main things that are undoing our country and that is exactly why I am voting for him, should he win our party.

To attack Trump over his lack of wealth seems silly. As has been stated above, the truly wealthy protect their wealth. Trusts, corporations, off shore holdings ect.
But you can’t hide lifestyle. I fly some nice private planes for wealthy folks. It’s pretty easy to estimate net worth by airplane fleet. Trump owns not only his opulent 757, but a Citation X, and a couple of high end helicopters. He has spent over $120 million just on his aircraft fleet. In my observations, most folks don’t spend much more than 5% of net worth on personal aircraft. That brings him up to at least 2 billion. Likely more. That’s just the least you’d need to play the aviation game the way he’s playing it.

“Where did he say he was “the best business man in the world”?”

Try the his announcement speech.

He also said he’ll be “greatest jobs president that G-d ever created,” if I remember correctly.

Truth is, he’s mediocre.

This is a very interesting piece of information. Do you have any idea as to what the outcome of the lawsuit was?

Which is why he is hiding his tax returns.

Would you release your taxes to blood-thirsty leftists who will only use it to highlight the phony issue of "income inequality?"

Trump has already said he tries to pay as little taxes as possible, and I wholeheartedly agree. If I was a billionaire, I would do everything as legally possible to pay as little in taxes as I can.

Ok, so you’re nominating El Nacho libre for the position of Chairman of the Board. I will gladly second your motion.

I think we should hold elections for the first annual “Trump Haters of FR”. Maybe even give them a calender spread lol.

I have started thinking that Romney, in his buying and selling of companies, as a corporate raider, is dealing with or is himself a party that wants inside information on some company or investment of Trump’s so that a deal can get leveraged.

I think the request for Trump’s taxes is not only political, vis a vis Reid’s idea about Romney paying none, but also may in fact BE from a Democrat...like Hillary...looking to threaten a Trump negotiation/contract.

You’re making a lot of sense!!!

"This is a very interesting piece of information. Do you have any idea as to what the outcome of the lawsuit was?"

It's discussed in the very article that is the OP. Trump's slander claim was dismissed:

"The New Jersey Superior Court in its decision offered a blistering rebuke to Trump, contending that there was no good reason to conclude that O'Brien's sources were being dishonest: O'Brien has certified that he re-interviewed his three confidential sources prior to publishing their net worth estimates, and he has produced notes of his meetings with them both in 2004 and in 2005. The notes are significant, in that they provide remarkably similar estimates of Trump's net worth, thereby suggesting the accuracy of the information conveyed. Further, the accounts of the sources contain significant amounts of additional information that O'Brien was able to verify independently. Even worse, the court concluded that Trump was an untrustworthy source for estimates of his own net worth: 'It is indisputable that Trump's estimates of his own worth changed substantially over time and thus failed to provide a reliable measure against which the accuracy of the information offered by the three confidential sources could be gauged.'"
