During the CNN Republican presidential debate Thursday evening, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio suggested that the audience Google "Donald Trump Polish workers," a reference to a crew of illegal immigrants from Poland that Trump hired during the construction of Trump Tower in the 1980s.
But they were Googling another shot that both Rubio and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz mentioned: "Trump University."
"You lied to the students at Trump University," Rubio said to Trump during the debate.
"You know, Marco made reference earlier to the litigation against Trump University," Cruz said later. "It's a fraud case. His lawyers have scheduled the trial for July. I want you to think about, if this man is the nominee, having the Republican nominee on the stand in court, being cross-examined about whether he committed fraud. You don't think the mainstream media will go crazy on that?"
Trump said that he'll "win that case."
"That's an easy case," Trump added.
According to the Washington Post, Goggle searches for Trump University spiked during the debate.

I bought Ted’s book “A Time For Truth”. Ted went gutter in IA then let lose a CONSTANT stream of lies, half truths and deliberate misrepresentations. Ted’s poll numbers have went no where but down. He’s committing political suicide.
And I’d like a refund on the book.
Trump said it was so small monetarily that he could have settled it - but he said he had to win this one on principle. People signed up for a free seminar then for a costly business class and then couldn’t cut it and apply the material in the real world and sue the purveyor of the class. It’s manifest that many, many fortunes were made investing in distressed real estate between 2008-2009 so it’s not that it was a bad idea. Since this is one is simple to understand - he either tricked them or not - I hope it gets sped up to victory or settled.
I hope more comes out on how Trump was able to keep this at a civil court level rather than criminal. Intentionally bilking students of tuition on a muti-state basis, usually triggers RICO implications.
Because there is nothing there. More old news.
So you are saying students didn't lose money for services they were promised?
So you are saying students didn’t lose money for services they were promised? .....How many ARE in any Institute of higher “learning”? It’s up to the student to learn, not the Institution.
Might not make a big difference Tuesday but may by March 15 primaries!
Latimes: Lawsuits against Trump University claim students paid thousands for nothing
Huh?, did you read my question? And answer me direct please. Did the students lose money for services they were supposed to be provided?
Is that a Civil Case or a Criminal Case?
I want to know from “huge” Trump supporters what they think about Trump importing foreign workers to build his buildings instead of using Americans?
I don't blame Trump for taking easy money by putting his name on it and taping a few promotional videos. Frankly, someone would have to be incredibly gullible to fall for such an obvious scam and stupidity should have consequences. It is amusing to see that the same sort of people who thought Trump University was legitimate and spent thousands of dollars on it are in much larger numbers voting for the man. At least there's no money changing hands in that scam.
“Because there is nothing there. More old news.”
You have to stop stealing lines from the Clinton playbook.
It was a subcontractor that hired the illegal workers some 30 years ago. Trump did not directly hire them. Anyone who has been on the construction business knows these things. Obviously Beck is not up to speed as usual.
Cabana boy and Canadian boy did nothing that will hurt The Donald.
Excellent assessment.

As a real estate investor I felt defrauded much earlier than these students by Donald Trump when I bought his book, “Art of the Deal”. I read it and found out it only covered the subjects, “Aren’t I (Trump) great” and “Don’t I (Trump) know a lot of Important People”. That was my honest impression then, without regard to politics. There was nothing in there to help the reader with real estate transactions except to give up - you the reader will never be as great as Trump.
To those who were defrauded at Trump “University”, my first reaction is buyer beware. What had he said or written before plaintiffs collectively put $40 million down to make them think this would be helpful? (Had they read his earlier book?) Same warning goes to his Presidential supporters but nobody seems ready to hear it or change their mind. But the warning is still apt, buyer beware. In this case you are buying for all of us!
That said, I agree. A lawsuit of fraud in business - even if unfounded - is not helpful while campaigning or trying to govern. Likewise with making ties bearing his name in China, supporting Planned Parenthood as if women wouldn’t otherwise receive healthcare, ‘liberal’ use of bankruptcy laws, supporting the crony government power of taking private property for preferred private use, and that he didn’t really hire illegals. His subcontractors did that while he played Sargent Schultz, I see nothing! Does he ever take responsibility?
Did the students lose money for services they were supposed to be provided?....Probably yes. Most students were GUARANTEED a diploma for paying government guaranteed tuition, fees, etc. Failure was not an option for 85% of students. I taught in an “INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING” and was not asked back because I asked for results from my students. I came to class. They didn’t. They got a ‘Degree’ anyways.
That is it in a nutshell. Anyone that can’t see it shouldn’t even be allowed to vote! This ticks me off....told everyone the little worm was insider pretending to be an outsider. He’s cheap, he’ll do whatever the GOPe wants him to do, just another fraud with this crazy illegals crap.
