Of All the Attacks Rubio and Cruz Launched Against Trump During Debate, This One Left a Mark
The Blazé ^ | 2-26-2016 | Kate Scanlon

During the CNN Republican presidential debate Thursday evening, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio suggested that the audience Google "Donald Trump Polish workers," a reference to a crew of illegal immigrants from Poland that Trump hired during the construction of Trump Tower in the 1980s.

But they were Googling another shot that both Rubio and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz mentioned: "Trump University."

"You lied to the students at Trump University," Rubio said to Trump during the debate.

"You know, Marco made reference earlier to the litigation against Trump University," Cruz said later. "It's a fraud case. His lawyers have scheduled the trial for July. I want you to think about, if this man is the nominee, having the Republican nominee on the stand in court, being cross-examined about whether he committed fraud. You don't think the mainstream media will go crazy on that?"

Trump said that he'll "win that case."

"That's an easy case," Trump added.

According to the Washington Post, Goggle searches for Trump University spiked during the debate.

The left used that tactic pretty effectively against Sarah Palin. Totally baseless but time, money - and reputation consuming.

Maybe as much as Cruz defending his NBC status perhaps?

It worked against Sarah Palin because she wasn’t allowed to defend herself. McCain said she HAD to do whatever her advisers told her. Her advisers were loaned to McCain by Romney, and their entire interest was to wreck her career, even though McCain lost too. In fact, probably Romney wanted McCain to lose, and they knew it.

Since Palin was in the VP slot, she felt she had to obey McCain’s orders, regrettably.

The Blaze will continue to attack and lie about Trump until the end of time, as might be expected.

Wait..... Trump said the plight of students is one of his top priorities just the other day so no way did he screw over students with his ‘university’.

not totally baseless. He did very strongly give the impression that he was somewhat create the curriculum or even teach a course. It is what it is and it won’t kill him but it was devious.

a person should do more due diligence before paying for a course like that

They played the same card (successfully, I might add) against Rick Perry and his run for the White House. Yesterday, he was cleared of all Charges...Lets see how the Donald handles it.
What last nights debate clearly illustrated to me was how Trump could be attacked by both Rubio and Cruz, deflected each, and fought back effectively, Trump has many years experience fighting off attack dogs.

Some Democrats and Republicans helped fund lawsuits against her after the election in Alaska. Under Alaska law she had to use her own money to defend against the lawsuits even though many of them were for state actions. She had the choice to either resign from office or be driven into bankruptcy.

Palin had to be destroyed by the GOPe and Democrats. They saw the crowds she drew during the election and knew the danger she could be in the future.

They will try to tie Trump up as much as possible in legal activities. Thing is he has the money and his own lawyers to fight them. He is our only chance of breaking the back of the ruling class.

Wishful thinking

The Political pundits still do not get it, people angry and scare are looking for solutions not who plays politics best.

End results last night?

Trump:

No knock out blows, no gaffes which leaves the rest still in Trumps rear view mirror

Rubio:

Likable an earnest. Great talker and smooth which will make the GOP ladies swoon but no there there. A human parrot repeating what he was taught to say. Take him off script and he fails badly.

For example: After going on the attack in this excited high pitched tone about Trump supposedly lacking specifics in his Health Care plan Rubio ends his tirade sneering “erasing lines around states what does that even mean?”

Trump then calmly respond by schooling young Rubio on how competition in health insurance would work. I guess we can understand why Rubio would be confused we haven’t had real competition in the US Healthcare Insurance system for almost as long as Rubio has been alive. While Trump is making a clear concise case for his plan, Rubio interrupts with “Yes I know all that it is in my plan”

Those kind of exchanges may make political reporter all excited but it leave average voters going Huh? 30 seconds ago you did not know what it meant NOW it is “part of your plan”?

“Ruibot” earned his unflattering tag again last night. Great as long as he is not forced off script. Once he is forced off script he looks flustered and uncertain. Of the many things voters look for in a President, flustered and uncertain are not two of them.

Cruz.

It is over. Cannot campaign with soaring rhetoric and high minded “perfect political purity” talking points only to have the real record be less then perfect. Warp yourself in “holy” political pure white robes, as Cruz has done, and the political dirt of errors shows up darker and more noticeable. Cruz spent all night walking face 1st into the other candidates, specifically Trumps, punches.

Biggest knock down punches. After telling everyone he was the best qualified to pick SC Justices, Trump points out Cruz’s support for John Roberts, who GOP voters feel should of ended the debate on Obamacare and Gay Marriage and didn’t.

Then Cruz lectures Trump about campaign contributions only to have Trump point out he gave money to Cruz. Three point shot for Trump since it points out Cruz is woefully unprepared, appears to be a hypocrite and it exposes Cruz as a professional political insider playing this race as a pretend “outsider”.

So at best Rubio/Cruz can claim is a stalemate which is a lose since they are the ones in Trumps rear view mirror

The Trump-Equitable joint venture hired Kaszycki and Sons Contractors Inc.

Kaszycki and Sons Contractors Inc. are the ones who hired the illegal Polish immigrants.

Blame the Construction company, not Trump.

I agree that Cruz endorsement of Rubio will finish him. He will not gain any voters where stopping illegal immigration is important to their vote.
