he’s carefully walking a line to maintain the votes. again, without core principles underpinning his beliefs, one wonders once elected what will guide him.
None of this would happen in vacuums. Tariffs are another tax. But if overall taxes are lightened, and if regulations are lightened, there could be compensatory effects. I’ve been frustrated personally that a product for which I’d pay a premium to get it US made, just isn’t available that way PERIOD. We’re that bad.
If it is some consolation, he does want to be elected twice.
we are powerless and our eyes are nailed open to make it impossible to avoid watching the evisceration of our country. as i said above, i pray daily for the end times as a much preferable alternative.

I think there is still a gospel window open. Bible eschatology is a very broad sweep. The nation of Israel, even while in decline on the broad scale, saw more than one revival. We need to be willing to be as thrilled with the Lord as Habakkuk was. Everything might be going to hell and yet heaven is right at the doors and we’re cheering for it. I’ve gotten more and more gospel crazy like that over the years, because it’s true. There is so much the devil doesn’t want us to see.
One thing about the Devil that we know is that he causes division and fighting. I have seen a lot of that with Trump...he attacks, he spreads lies, he insults, he lives for controversy. All traits of the evil one. Gives me pause.
I don’t like that smarmy Wallace and never watch him. I partied all day Sunday. All this gotcha crap. FOX hates Cruz.
This WWE schtick seems to be pulling Trump in that direction. He never claimed to be a super shining saint, and allowance can be made for what he knows, but this seems to be a particularly baleful influence. The problem is that fighting for fighting’s sake is anti-moral.
Hopefully even his own support will be telling him to knock it off, because it’s made him a lot of needless enemies.
The tv was on that station last night and before I could change the channel I saw something I never thought, in a million years, I would see..... one of their guys saw Justice Thomas coming out of an eatery and filmed him for a few minutes. He was laughing with them and joking - the tmz guy actually said he had hated the guy for years but after meeting him, he really liked him! Honest to God - they were all laughing and talking about him like he was such a great guy. I was beginning to wonder if I was having a stroke - not understanding correctly, but it was true. So that old "now I've seen everything" mantra is applicable to me....I've seen hard core snot nosed liberal brats in Hollywood say they like the most conservative Justice on the Supreme Court.
Lots of contradictions - they put more value on an animal, even a deadly one, than on a baby, unless they want it - then it matters.

Man, what are you smoking? Trump is who he is, he will not change. How many women married men like that thinking they could change him. Not happening. Trump leans left even in this campaign. He is liberal, not conservative. He isn’t Christian. He isn’t conclusively prolife. He is who he is. A man that donated heavily to liberals for decades. If you support him, be honest about it. You support his narrow stance on immigration. You like him telling off the GOPe. You can’t like his conservative credentials, because he really has none.
He certainly stepped up. Wow. I always liked him, now I love him. Go Justice Thomas!

He’s aiming for a populist support, which tends to be rightward of where our present government is. Most leftiness is not pushed by We The People but They The Government. What agency doesn’t support mission creep?
If Trump wants to be elected and then re-elected, he’s going to have to bow to that inevitability. The GOP has yet to pull any of the election biasing stunts that the Democrats do, so no it can’t be compared to Barack Obama.
