“Seems that djt is quite willing to aid hillary in the election”

Boy, that is rich. You’re quite the concern troll. It’s precisely the treacherous actions of the GOPe to give the nomination to anyone but Trump, even if it means letting Hillary win in November, that Trump is fighting. Nice try with the bogus analysis, but no cigar.

A candidate must win majority of the popular vote to win the states electoral college electors (save Maine I think as they are tying to split theirs by Congressional dist.) DJT has not won 50% of the GOP vote in any state as of yet. So it is most unlikely that he would be able to win many all on his lonesome.

The pretty theory that a independent can win is more fantasy then reality, if there were 4 or 5 parties yes but with only 2 the math is just not going to happen.

I would be forced to vote for djt if he is the GOP candidated as a indepdendnt candidate I would not do so.

Texas would not, California would not, NY will not, maybe Florida might but I doubt it.

Which pretty much ends the options for a 3rd party win. H.Ross Perot did help the Democrats and it could be argued that Anderson helped them too a bit.

The best any 3rd party has ever done was 88 electoral votes and that was Teddy Roosevelt 19 in 1912.

Facts are stubborn things.

As far as I am concerned Trump broke ALL the rules when he resurrected the WMDS in Iraq and called a former Republican POTUS a liar.

If Perot had not quit his campaign in the middle of it he might have won.

There is a good chance that if Trump runs as an independent he will win.

The reason Third Parties don't win is because they are about policies and ideas which don't capture the imagination of a plurality of voters.

Love him or hate him, Trump is a charismatic personality that people have become enamored of.

If Trump continues to get over 30% support nationally, as the polls suggest, then he would have a very good chance of winning as an Independent.

That might be an even better outcome than if he won as a Republican, because then he would be totally unbeholden to the Uniparty.

Trying to reason with the GOP now is like trying to reason with a suicide bomber. Their goal isn’t to get their guy elected but to stop Trump! A Hillary win suits them nicely.

I agree with you, but the modern democrat party is so far left that trump a moderate democrat looks like a conservative republican to them. (and many here sadly)

I thought Trump was the undisputed, inevitable, nominee. Why would he have to consider taking his voters and going home if he’s going to win by YUGE margins?

I wish I could think you were correct. The problem is the people that hillary / dnc is abusing are the youth vote which by and large is ethereal at the general elections.

They may well not vote hillary but most likely they just will not vote at all. Much less for djt.

Feel free to look at the history of third party candidates and their effect postbellum elections.

Or do you think the Bull Moose party helped the Republicans in 1912 and that Ross Perot hurt the Democrats ?

So the GOPe misusing it’s position to rig the election so the liberal republican New World Order socialist can steal the nomination is okay, but Trump moving his pieces on the board are not okay.

Well, many believe we need to take the party back, if they do this I actually am finished with the party. When thier guy wins conservatives are told to be loyal and hold your nose and vote. When we win they try to defeat them in the election.

Here’s the GOPe plan to rig the primary.

Only RINO’s support this plan

Of course they’ve violated the pledge. His party apparatus is trying to prevent him from getting the nomination. They’re not helping him.

They made a big stink out of getting him to sign the pledge, now they’re making noises about violating it.

At what point did H.Ross Perot ever lead in any poll of likely voters ? He was a gad fly and hated the bush family to be some what brutal on the issue.

The pretty fantasy of a President Trump setting things to rights and telling the “uniparty” there days are over works in a book or bad movie but in reality he would AT BEST be a carter like president with NO support in either house of congress. At worst he would have both houses against him looking to find a valid impeachable offence to re-assert the congress as the dominant player. He would make it easy too I think.

I think he should sweep the primaries first, then tell the GOP to shove it. Then run as an independent and beat the GOP a second time.

It doesn't matter what he runs as. Get elected and govern as TRUMP!!! Revenge is a dish best served and eaten cold.
