Ted Cruz has rejected the idea of stopping Donald Trump's presidential campaign at a brokered convention, saying the move would lead to a 'revolt' among voters.

Cruz likely has his own reasons for wanting to avoid a brokered convention, however, as it is unlikely that he would receive the backing of many superdelegates, once released from the candidate they are now tied to.

Cruz has climbed on the backs of “conservative” rubes since he left the Bush campaign. He is one slick piece of work.
Before that he was one more constitutional lawyer who worked his way up, in the same manner as Obama and his resume.
Because Trump doesn't believe his own bluster and rhetoric.

Didn’t Cruz and Trump announce their Presidential bids at about the same time? Or did i miss something, like Cruz announced he was running for President years before Trump did, you know, a “candidate long before Trump”? Or was Cruz simply SECRETLY running for President without announcing years before Trump announced, so that’s why only a select few knew Cruz was a “candidate long before Trump”?

I remember that statement and for me it was very telling. The Cruz is now part of the Establishment.
And you have no idea whats coming.
Fences always have to be mended. Look for Trump to tap Kasich for VP. He’s a good party foot soldier and he knows everybody in Congress and how it all works. He will be valuable in helping shepherd Trump’s agenda through the legislature and he will be the tie break vote in the Senate.
Trump also needs to win OH in the general. That’s where it got stolen from Romney in 2012.

Yes. It would be contentious any year, but this year it would be suicide.
And let us not forget that Cruz's wife is a Goldman Sachs executive, the ultimate "insider" connection.
IF Cruz were to drop out, and I don’t think he will even if he loses Florida, I don’t think he’ll make an endorsement until there’s more evidence of what the party is going to do. Cruz has to be careful to think about his political future.

If you’re talking about the GOPe as “our party”, please exclude most here. The GOPe is not OUR party. The GOPe is the party of the rich string-pullers, the oligarchs, the plutocrats, the professional political class that leaches off we peasants.
The party of Romney’s get-Trump speech, the party that’s the REAL enemy of the people, the FAKE opposition party that manages to always pick losing candidates whose interests are antithetical to their rank-and-file members, candidates that the rank-and-file refuse to vote for.
The GOPe PARTY is interested in nothing but keeping their own gravy trains chugging along. And thus with Romney’s get-Trump speech, we all have proof positive of what we’ve known all along: the GOPe PARTY is nothing but the minority partner of the Uniparty, but that’s quite good enough thank you very much, just so long as their gravy trains keep pulling into the hog trough station, loaded with all of those free shrimp cocktails and caviar at the posh gala D.C. soirées, free jet trips around the world, free five star hotel living, free five star restaurant dining, and free skybox seats at the major league sporting events, all paid for by we peasants and lobbyists.
Quite frankly, there’s NOTHING that THAT party can do to embarrass itself because THAT party’s very existence is an embarrassment to us all already.

I heard one of the Hagman guys on radio last night. Don’t know their reputation at all, but he was saying that his sources say they are going for full scale, all out race war this summer. ferguson was a small scale test for what’s to come.
I don’t think that people are stupid enough to let it happen but with enough instigation ....
Cruz does not have a path to the nomination, unless he can somehow take NE states, and WEST states which isn’t going to happen.
Anyone in the race besides Trump is staying in because they are all hoping for a brokered convention where the election will be stolen from Trump.
No, I don’t think Americans will do anything, much less revolt.
