The capacity to love, to form close and lastingly intimate connections or attachments with others, is one of the fundamental pillars of mental health.
Sexual promiscuity is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as many transient, casual, or indiscriminate sexual relationships. The word “indiscriminate,” in turn, is defined as “done at random or without careful judgment”.
Sexual promiscuity, therefore, is sexual behavior without love, attachment, or lasting intimacy. So it should not surprise us that sexual promiscuity, in addition to the health risks, is damaging to our mental and spiritual wellbeing.
But no one talks about it.
Instead, in our culture today, being a sexual libertine is celebrated and “celebrities” like Miley Cyrus parade their sluttiness as a peculiar form of accomplishment. As C. S. Lewis presciently observed, “Sexual intercourse is rapidly becoming the one thing venerated in a world without veneration.”
What is the RCP? Last I heard, it is a political news site, Real Clear Politics.
Reaching critical mass now, though. I’ve read that up to 90% of sexually active college students have one form of STD or another. That’s pervasive, not the exception.
The sexual revolution has not liberated women. Its merely liberated men from any responsibility towards women. I find that women (and children) have been the biggest losers of this trend to noncommittal sex and promiscuity.

Promiscuous sex isn't, in the end, all that satisfying. Hell, it isn't even user-friendly.

My apologies, I was truly wound up about liberal hypocrisy at the time I wrote this. I saw an alleged conservative type something that USED to be the work of a liberal, and I got a little riled up. He’s not “scum”, just caught me in a bad time. My apologies to him, lol. And, yeah, I’ve gotten turned down before, who hasn’t? It’s her loss, not mine.
Is that sarcasm? The Internet doesn’t show facial cues.

The left loves mandatory labeling of all sorts of things. Why should they have all the fun? Let's label people for STD's. Use a facial tattoo so that others would have fair warning before getting involved. Some people's faces would look like NASCAR drivers' racing jackets, which might be a problem for some of the Hollywood set, but hey -- it's for the public health and safety.

Speaking of jokes, I see the name “Sparklite” and (couple that with his response), I can’t help but picture a Miller’s Lite-chuggling, beer-bellied trailer-dweller in overalls.

Maoist offshoot of Weatherman. They worship Mao and they are pushing a Chinese style cultural revolution on college campuses—with the PC police and the silencing of opposing viewpoints, the firings of conservative academics, etc.
Look closely at photos of many of the Black Lives Matter demonstrations. You’ll see marchers carrying signs that say rev.com at the bottom. That’s the RCP. Worth studying for insights into what’s happening in our country.
