Michigan Poll: Trump Up Big, But Cruz Would Win Head-To-Head
Breitbart ^ | 3-7-2016 | JORDAN SCHACHTEL

Posted on 03/07/2016 1:17:22 PM PST by Citizen Zed

In a hypothetical head-to-head scenario, Cruz bests Trump 48-41 percent.

In another hypothetical head-to-head, Rubio beats Trump narrowly, 46-45. If Rubio were to drop out of the race, his voters would go 3-to-1 for Ted Cruz, according to the survey.

71 percent of Republicans said they would support Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton in a general election. 9 percent said they will support Hillary Clinton, another 9 percent would not vote for either, 4 percent would choose “other,” and 7 percent are undecided about the hypothetical match up.

14 percent of those surveyed said they were undecided. 13 percent have already voted.

The Monmouth University poll also surveyed MIchigan residents for the Democratic primary there.

Hillary Clinton is beating Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in Michigan 55-42 percent, according to the poll.

Yeah when Rubio and Kasich drop out Cruz will win a lot of primaries and delegates the trump hordes will be shocked and start babbling about cheating.

Long past time for Rubio to say goodbye.

Let the big boys fight it out one on one.

Primary is tomorrow.
Doesn’t really matter.

The more interesting note is the Cruz voters and Rubio voters have nothing in common because the candidates are not aligned on policy at all.

What is the driver for Rubio voters to go Cruz?

I just heard on Hannity, Jamie Dupree, The Most Connected Man in Washington, claiming that Trumps lead in Michigan was slipping and Kasich was surging. Hannity tried to quote polls showing Trump way ahead and he kept saying that those polls were BEFORE the debate.

This poll’s results, which were gathered through surveys taken Thursday through Sunday. Trump 36, Cruz 23, Kasich 21.

The Ted Cruz Strategy is starting to make some sense. We need Rubio and Kasich to both lose their home states. Then we get Cruz or Trump for sure. And an interesting fight for sure.

I don’t believe that Rubio supporters would switch to Cruz 3-1. Why would an amnesty, party-hardy pot-legalizing crowd switch to a scorched-earth, pot-banning, Dominionist candidate? It’s too opposite a platform unless 2 out of 3 supporters of Rubio are voting solely on the candidate’s race.

My Turn: Ted Cruz chose money over American values

By JORDAN FISHMAN

For the Monitor

(Published in print: Wednesday, February 3, 2016)

In a world where voters no longer trust Washington politicians, there are refreshing new faces running for president who break that mold. The results out of the Iowa caucuses prove these candidates are gaining traction.

Unfortunately, Ted Cruz isn’t one of them. I should know: Mr. Cruz helped a giant Chinese tire manufacturer destroy my family business. He denies being directly involved in the case, but I know differently. We prevailed, but I still have important unanswered questions.

Mr. Cruz recently said our fight was between two Chinese tire manufacturers. That is a lie. I’m the third generation in our family business; we grew from a Chicago tire scrapyard into a manufacturer of tires used all over the world. I invented a tire that changed the mining industry. The innovation was so valuable I protected my intellectual property rights at the U.S. Copyright Office.

My gosh. Cruz is sleazy. Why isn’t Fox News running this? Oh they are waiting to the general. GOPe and Cruz are in partnership to destroy this country. Such a shame. It was nice while it lasted.

The vulgarian, scam artist, and carnival barker loses in all one-on-one matchups. He’s come so far because of a splintered vote.

Probably because most candidates project their own faults on the competition.

An article like this is just a waste of the authors time and also the readers. Paint all the number pictures you want, it is over when its over and the one with the most votes is the winner. Period, end of story.

These “Trump up big but if unicorns flew it would be different” polls are just silly.

It’s like the polls showing Trump winning by 20 then losing to some guy who doesn’t get 10% of the GOP vote. Just pure fantasy.
